Sal's Message

Tonight was a night of Peace, Peace, Peace, Peace. Very few words are needed to describe tonight. We had one reading from John ch. 3--ver. 31--36. This evening we sang. There was one short song that we read, it was called "He Touched Me," it goes like this ( He touched me, oh he touched me, and oh the joy that floods my soul. Something happened, and now I know, he touched me and made me whole.) That is what happened tonight. Praise The Lord. We will meet next Monday at 7:00p.m. until
8:15 p.m for 3 more weeks. Until next week may The Lord keep you safe. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

We only had one hour and fifteen minutes to praise and worship our Lord, but time seemed to stand still. Tonight the Lord made us feel as if we were there so much longer. Why? Because His presence was so strong and the Holy Spirit was really moving in the chapel. Two words were given tonight, { " You are the apple of my eye and every good thing I created was for you."}-------also-------{" For the journey may be rough but the destination is rewarding."}--------- Please try to read Psalm
27- very powerful. The teaching was on "Living and everyday life of victory", always focusing on our Lord and praising Him in every situation and feeling the joy of the Lord in you always. Try to praise Him through the good and the bad times. Lift Him up as often as you can. We ended with a ver. from Philippians, ch.4-ver.13 "I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me." We will meet next week at 7:15 p.m. and please bring your bibles for sharing. Until then have a safe week and God Bless. Sal

A word was given { My Children you are My devoted servants and you will be with Me always.} The teachings were on the Love of Jesus, and a prayer card was given out, a very powerful one. When you come you will be given one. We ended with the love of Jesus in our hearts. We look forward to next week. Remember we start at 7:00 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. and please park in front of church. Sal,s Message

"This night was made for the Lord, let us rejoice, let us be glad." These words are from a song we sing in church, and tonight was made for the Lord. The gentle songs and praise brought us so close to Jesus tonight. The readings were: Luke Ch. 10-ver. 25-37----John Ch. 12. ver. 44-50---and Psalms 23. The teaching was first a little story, and then I read the song Amazing Grace and shared my walk with the Lord through this song. Maybe you can read the words and put your life in it. We felt the joy of The Lord in our hearts and His great peace. The next six weeks, the prayer meeting will be 7:00 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. because of Father Dan's scripture study. Also please park in the front for the next six weeks and enter through the door on the right and quietly pass Father Anderson library. This way if you stay later you will not be alone in the back. Please try to come on time so we can get the most out of our time with the Lord. Have a bless week . Sal

Thank you Eveyln and Manny for having us all at your lovely home. The warmth we felt and the presence of The Lord filled their home. We sang, praised and worshiped our Lord. We also enjoyed many different kinds of food tonight. Debbie shared a story about the wooden spoon and we were all touched by the story. It will be shared again. It was a night of fellowship which was needed by all of us. And as you know Jesus was present while we did so. We prayed before leaving and thanked Eveyln and

Sal's Message

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord for a great evening of prayer, praise and worship. Your Holy Spirit was so powerful in the chapel and the songs we sang and the love that went around the room was beautiful. The readings tonight and the songs all seem to fit together, The readings were : Matthew ch.5-ver 3-11----Psalm 36 and Psalm 150---. One of the many songs tonight was "Change My Heart O God." There was a word given also { I sense unrest in some of you, call on Me tonight and I will give you peace}. The teaching was a short story called The Brick. The point made was, "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!" Sometime when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not. We will meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m and I ask if you could bring your bible, and we will share different Bible verses that have touched us or are important for us to hear. Have a bless week and God Bless. Sal

Sal's Message

We were few in numbers, but strong in the Spirit. Last night we came looking for the Love of Jesus to touch us. Well, as we shared our feelings and allowed the Lord to speak to us while we sang and praised Him, He did just that. The Love of Jesus was spoken through the Bible verse from Matthew ch. 21 ver. 18-22-and - 1 Corinthian Ch. 12, ver. 1-11. We spent some time on this last Ver. in 1 Corinthian and I feel each of us should take time and read this. Our Lord showed us the different gifts of the Holy Spirit given to us. We should ask the Lord to guide us into what gifts he has for us. Many of us are already blessed with these gifts, but we need to pray and ask Him to open new doors and show us the way. Until next Monday I hope to see you all there. May the Lord bless each of you this week. Sal

Sal's Message

The power of prayer is so strong, and tonight we felt it as we prayed, praised, sang, and lifted Our Lord in Name and Praise. The songs without the gift of Mary Ann tonight went well. She was missed but the Lord is Good and He helped us with our voices. The readings were: Luke, 17-ver. 5-6----Psalms 70 ver. 1--6-----Proverb 8. The teaching was on The Great Exchange. If you read Isaiah 53-ver 4-5 you will understand. Then Debbie shared a short story called :The Wooden Bowl". It was powerful and left us with some open sharing, and she was asked to read it again in the future. We closed in God's laughter and prayer. Have a blessed week, Love in Christ, Sal

Tonight we shared on different bible verses that may have touched us and also what the meaning was for us on that verse. It was powerful. The sharing that went out to each of us was heart filling. A Message from Anne

At last night's prayer meeting we worshiped the Lord with song and prayers. We heard the words from Psalm 96 to "Sing to the Lord a new song: Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name." We also heard the Lord's words from Ephesians vs. 14-21. "For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and earth derives its name, that He would grant you according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, and that you being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God."

We lifted our needs, worries, and loved ones to the Lord trusting in His will and His mercy. We prayed asking God to bless, aid and heal all who were not with us last night and their families.

Manny who is a medical doctor gave a teaching on illness which is inevitable in our lives. We can use our illness for God's glory. Manny referred to paraticular saints and shared their attitude toward sickness. Illness can change us for the better when we are able to surrender to God. He also shared ways to help ourselves and the doctor when we are sick. His wife Evelyn, shared the story of her mother's healing from cancer after being told by her doctor that she had only 6 months to live. Her doctor had no explanation except maybe he made a misdiagnosis. Evelyn's mother had prayed unceasingly. Praise God!

Next Monday we will share how God has and is speaking to us through scripture.

ver 34 thru ch. 11.----and Joel Ch. 2. The teaching was on Time. We
ask Jesus to help us to understand that nothing of this world is worth
our time if it does not include Him. We offer up praise and thanksgiving
for the gift of time. Next week Manny will be doing the teaching and
Anne will lead the prayer group. Please come and support them. We also
offer a special mention for Gloria Hanson. Keep her in your prayers.
Until next week, may the Lord keep each of you safe in His care. God

A Message from Anne

I've been thinking lately how important it is to read scripture and that lately I have not been as faithful as I should be even though I know that God has spoken to me so many times through scripture in both powerful and quiet subtle ways. I thought maybe it would help all of us if one prayer meeting a month we shared on scripture verses that really spoke to us. We could tell what God has shown us from the past and the present. It may be about help God has given us in a tough time or it may be an enlightening or sudden understanding about the greatness of God or whatever!

I mentioned this idea at the last prayer meeting and got a very positive response. I suggested doing this the first Monday of each month. However, I'll be on vacation that week so perhaps we could begin at the July 28th meeting.

Also, if someone would like to write about a meaningful scipture and post it on our blog that would be great. If someone doesn't want to post something themselves they could e-mail it to me and I would be happy to post it. God does great things and many times He uses scripture. Let's open our bibles and help the Holy Spirit give us treasures and words of wisdom.

God bless you all! Anne

With the love of Jesus we came together tonight with sharings, praise, song, and worship. Jesus was our focus, more so tonight in the teaching and in our prayers. "Boy", how we love our Lord. Lord open our hearts that we may love each other as You love us.} The teaching was on keeping our eyes on the Savior. Remember, if Jesus is who He is, there is no truth more worthy of your time, and no God more worthy of your devotion. Just a reminder, we will not meet next Monday because it is Memorial Day. We will be back the following week, June 2. Until then have a blessed and happy week. Love in Christ, Sal

Anne's Message

Last night, the day after Pentecost, we gathered again to pray. We worshiped the Lord in joy, and with song, aware that God has called us by name and is with us through His Spirit.

Thank you Geri for the very insightful teaching on the Prodigal Son. I especially liked the idea that the father did not just happen to see his son return that day. The father was watching in the distance every day waiting for his son.

Manny shared on Mary and mothers. This year it happened that Pentecost and Mother's Day fell on the same day and I just see now looking at my calendar that today is the Feast of Fatima. I shared the homily given by our deacon who mentioned all the concerns we have today and the manual he has found to be so helpful - holy scriptpure. He read a number of short passages from different sections of the bible which made me want to go home and read more and read every day. We thank you Lord for Your Words to us.

We prayed that Janice and Sal had a wonderful weekend trip and look forward to being together again with the Lord next Monday. God bless everyone. Anne

Sal's Message

Praise the Lord in all things! Tonight we gathered and asked the Lord to touch our hearts, and that's just what He sure did, first with Mary Ann's music and then with His love just flowing through each of us. Two words were given: { I will hold your hand this week and I will be with you.} and {My Children I am so pleased with each of you}. We had a reading from James ch.1 ver. 19-27-and Acts Ch. 19. ver.1-8. The teaching was on, Adoption of the Heart, and God's promise to us, from Romans Ch.5-ver. 8, "God showed his love for us in this way; Christ died for us while we were still sinners". God loves each of us and we are His Children. We have been adopted by God and are therefore an "heir of God through Christ". Until next monday, Janice and I will not be there but please come and support Anne, as she leads and Geri as she does the teaching next week. May the Lord Bless each of you. Love in Christ, Sal

Sal's Message

Each week as we gather is the same, yet different. What I mean is that we pray, sing, and praise the Lord, and even though we do this we come to feel the presence of our Lord with us. Yes, it's the same but we come alive and feel His love touch each of us. This reward is so great no one can take this from us. The reading tonight were: Psalms 62---and---Proverbs 1--11, Debbie gave a beautiful reading, and a word was given: { " If you believe and trust in Me, all things are possible"}. The teaching was on Devotion, and how strong is our Faith. We closed with joyful laughter and prayer. Until next week, may the Lord bless and keep each of you safe. Love IN Christ, Sal

Sal's Message

What a powerful evening of sharing we had. Many went to the healing service Friday and the sharing was great. We sang three songs from a C.D. and enjoyed the music. We prayed and as we continued to pray the Lord touched each of us. The readings were: Psalms 34- ver. 1 thru. 11, and John Ch. 10, ver. 1--18. The teaching was on SIMPLICITY, and the question is Have we lost the real simplicity of a relationship with God through Jesus? Remember, Jesus does not force His way in. We have to invite Him into our hearts to be saved. I would like to know if anyone
would like to do a teaching next week or in the weeks ahead. Until then may the Lord keep each of you safe. Love in Christ, Sal

When you are looking for some peace, try attending our prayer meeting. The Lord gives it to us free. All we have to do is get ourselves there. Last night was powerful because of our Brothers and Sisters who attended. The Lord gave us beautiful music from our gifted Mary Ann, and the readings and words given just added to the evening with our Lord. Jesus was so present to us and even if we had pain within we were at peace with the Lord. The readings were: Luke Ch. 4- ver. 4---and 1 Peter 1 ver. 3-9. Two words were given: ( " The Lord said to each one of us, "I Love you"--) and ("Place your pain at the foot of the cross then place your trust in me.") The teaching was on Job, "When faith really counts". Job placed his trust in God through all his trials. Let's take some time and read Job. If we can be as strong as him we can deal with anything, looking to our Lord for strength. Until next Monday, God Bless. Sal

Looking at Ourselves

Last night for the 4th year the prayer group met at my house to look at ourselves as a group to see how we are doing and decide what if any changes we should make. Are we on track doing what the Lord wants us to do? Sal, Janice, Bill, Gerri, Mary Ann, Lindy and I were present.

Prayer Meeting is at 7:30. If we begin prayer time by 7:40 which we often do, that is fine. We need a few minutes to visit. We average 10 people at our meeting now. So we are pleased with that.

Sal begins with a spontaneous opening prayer which we are happy with. It would be good if others would add to this yet we don't want to make this prayer too long. This opening prayer is followed by a short time of silence which we agreed was good. It helps to settle us.

When Mary Ann plays her guitar she chooses the music so she can achieve the proper flow. If someone would like a specific song played they can ask Mary Ann before the meeting if she would play it. When Mary Ann is not playing we have been using song sheets which have songs which are easy to sing. Then anyone can suggest a song. During this part of the prayer meeting we should be very focused on the Lord. This is when the spirit speaks to us. It's a time to avoid any chatter or distraction. We are as in the words of a song on HOLY GROUND.

During prayers of petition it is often difficult to hear what a person is saying. We agreed our job is to pray for these needs whether we hear everything or not. The person lifting up intentions should not use this time for a lot of detail.

Sal has taken on responsibility for teachings and we appreciate this. He has encouraged others to do teachings and most people have and we think that's great and should continue. Immediately following the teaching is a good time to share with everyone.

At the end of the meeting we lay hands on and pray for anyone who wishes to be prayed with

Sal mentioned ABC guidelines for a prayer meeting - Audible, Brief and Christ Centered.

We thank the Lord for His Blessings.

Anne

To all my Sisters and Brothers in Christ, We have received a special gift from our Lord, and that is the fellowship we have each week. The love of Jesus surrounded us tonight as it always does and you could feel His Peace touch you. The joy from Mary Ann's music filled the chapel and our prayers stormed the heavens. The reading were: Isaiah Ch.2, ver.2-5---Psalms 22---and Psalms 46. The teaching was on " What to do when you feel like giving up". In a word, God calls us to persevere. Take action in life. Don't wait for life to happen. Go out there and make things happen, even at our age. The Lord is good, so let us never fail Him. Let us be His Disciples. Until we meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel, have a blessed week, and don't forget Anne's meeting tomorrow night at her house to talk about our prayer group. GOD BLESS, Sal

The reading are: John 14ver. 1-14----Isaiah 42--ver. 1-9,----and Psalms 33. The teaching was given by Manny who spoke on the Holy Spirit. He shared that the Spirit is a person with us, and without Him we can do nothing. He made the Holy Spirit come alive for us tonight. His witness was beautiful. Thank you Manny you are blessed by our Lord. We will meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel and we will have our 4th annual meeting on Tuesday, March 11 at 7:15 p.m. at Anne's house. Tonight we gathered as always looking for the Love of Jesus in each of us, and if you were there you know we found it. The peace and love of our Lord was again a gift from Him. One of the songs we sang tonight was "You Are Near" and was He ever. His love quietly filled the chapel. The readings are: Matthew Ch. 7-ver. 7--12,------Psalms 16, and Proverbs Ch. 2. The teaching was on God's Promise In The Crown of Thorns, which was the fruit of sin, thorns, spiny, prickly, cutting thorns. These thorns pierced His heart through our sins. So take a good look at the cross and see how He died for you and the pain He felt. Look at the crown this week and say, ( HE DID IT FOR ME, JUST FOR ME). We will meet again next week at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel and we will be blessed to have Manny do the teaching so keep him in your prayers this week. Until next Monday, God Bless. Sal

Sal's message

Dear Sisters and Brothers, For many of you that could not make it tonight you all were missed. For all who attended tonight, we had our time with the Lord in song, praise, and sharing. The sharing was great and the deep prayer time was felt by all. The reading came from Psalm138---and a word was given, ( My Children place your faith and trust inMe for I will never leave you.) And tonight He stayed with us. While we prayed you really could feel the power of prayer being lifted up. A short story was read, and a teaching came out of it. It was sad and beautiful at the same time. It was about going out of your way to help someone, the little things not always the big things. We learned that people may not remember exactly what you did, or what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel! So every morning when you open your eyes tell yourself that it is special. Every day, everyminute, every breath truly is a gift from God! Until next monday at 7:00p.m. in the Chapel, may God bless and keep you all safe. Sal

Sal's Message

The night was cold, but we had eight loving sisters and brothers come out to the chapel which was warm and felt good, but what heated the chapel was the Love of Jesus, through our songs, prayers and praise. The gentle songs filled our hearts and the power of our prayers reached the heavens. We know that there is healing in the works as we prayed for all our sisters and brothers. The readings were, Psalm 28-----Psalm 34-----and John10-Ver. 1--18. I shared a short story about a boy who believed "God Lives Under The Bed." The boy was mentally disabled but lived a simple but faithful life. He loved God and kept him close, not only under the bed but in his heart. This we must also do, trust God and be child like, and maybe our faith will grow stronger. I ended with, ( FRIENDS ARE ANGELS WHO LIFT US TO OUR FEET WHEN OUR WINGS HAVE TROUBLE REMEMBERING HOW TOFLY.) Until next Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel. Have a blessed week.

Our prayer meeting began with the good news that Eleanor's son does not have macular degeneration as he had been told and his vision should improve. Eleanor had stood in the gap for him ( that is we laid hands on Eleanor as we prayed for her son) last week. Thank you Lord for answered prayers. Readings for the evening were Romans 8 vs 1-17 and Psalms 139. Gerri gave a teaching on the cross. She told how she was watching a tv show and heard an announcement for the following show about the cross. Her intent was to change the channel but before she knew she was looking at Jesus face on the cross. She told herself that it's just an actor playing the part but she was drawn in thinking about the human Jesus and how he must have felt in his humanness. She saw the love in His face. Jesus didn't give up on us. He died for us.

Next Moday we will meet at 7 pm because Fr. Dan will be using the church for teaching on the passion. See you then. Have a blessed week. Anne

Anne's Message

Sal and Janice are vacationing in sunny Florida. We missed them but hope they are relaxing and enjoying themselves. We gathered in the chapel bringing with us our aches and pains, sorrows and joys. We asked for the Lord's blessing and the power of the Holy Spirit upon us and we gave our hearts to the Lord in song and praise. Readings read througout the evening were: Isaiah 43: 1-5, 2 Samuel 22: 31-37, a reading from a prayer book belonging to Debbie which encouraged us to trust in God completely, 2 Cor 4: 1-12, and Psalm 41. Through prayers of petition we gave our needs and hopes for all to the Lord. Evelyn shared a powerful story tonight about a woman who trusted in God and prayed without stopping after she became ill and was given six months to live. She was a single mother and had two young children. She lived in the Phillipines and could not afford health care. This woman did live. She was Evelyn's mother. The Lord was telling us last night that we are not alone. Trust in Him and pray without ceasing.

Sal's Message

We gathered tonight in the Chapel, which was just a little cold, but the night warmed up some with the heat, but most with the Love of Jesus in each of us. The strong faith of His almighty love warmed our hearts and we praiseed, and sang and felt His love in each of us. The reading were: 1 John Ch. 3 ver.1-3, and Jeremiah Ch.31. A word was given at the beginning of our prayers, ( My Children never have any fear, and never have any doubt, for I have given you the gift of Faith). The teaching was on "God's Promise in The Garment." When we come to the cross dressed in sin, we leave the cross dressed in the "Coat of His strongLove". We ended with a prayer, ready for whatever He has for us this week. Janice and I will be away for the next two weeks. Please come and support Anne as she leads you and hear Evelyn next week as she does the teaching, and Geri the following week as she comes forward to do a teaching. Please pray for both of them. The prayer meeting will start at 7:30p.m. Janice and I will be praying for all of you and will miss being there. God Bless, Love in Christ. Sal

Though the weather tonight was bad, we had so many of our Sisters and Brothers attend our prayer meeting. The gift again of MaryAnn filled the chapel as we sang and felt the presence of Jesus. The reading were: 1John Ch.3-ver.1-3,---Psalm 46,----and Psalm 84. The teaching was on Praying with hope and open hands. We the Children of God need to support, protect, and hold one another to God's heart. And Lord, we believe that in every prayer you are calling us to a new life, and may we thank you for the many ways your Spirit has enriched our life. We will again meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m. I pray that you all have a blessed and safe week. God Bless Sal

It was great to see everyone who came to praise and worship the Lord tonight. Happy New Year, and that it was. The Lord blessed each of us tonight and anointed each of us as well. The presence of our Lord was felt. The readings were: 1 Peter.Ch.3----- Psalms- 149--Psalms34----and Psalms 25. The joy of the Lord filled the chapel and we sawJesus in each of us. Sal's Message

As we began a word was given, " Take hold my children for tonight I offer you the gift of Love, Peace, and Joy." Yes and as the evening continued in prayer, song, and praise, we felt the Lord's presence. The readings also were powerful. They were--- - Isaiah Ch. 2 Ver.2-5----Matthew Ch. 6--Ver. 19-21 also Geri gave a very powerful one, but I did not get where in the bible. Another word was given "I will take each of you in My Hands and anoint you." The angelic tongue was so beautiful tonight, you could feel the angels around us. The teaching was on Peace, another gift from God, who makes us instruments of peace to others. For the next three weeks we will not meet in thr chapel. Jan. 7, 2008 we will return to start a new year of praise and worship. Reminder next Monday Dec. 17, at 7:30 p.m. we will meet at our home fora Holiday prayer meeting. We hope you all can make it. Until then God bless, Sal and Janice

Tuesday, December 04, 2007

The wind outside the chapel was whistling and it made you feel so cold, but what happened as we sang and warmed up with Mary Ann's beautiful music was such a great gift. In the quiet of the music we felt the warmth of the chapel and the warmth of God's love surround us. We had readings tonight from 2 Timothy Ver. 1 to 13 ----- Psalm 34- Ver. 2-4-- and from one song we sang "I Hear a Sound" saying "prepare ye the way of the Lord". Yes that is what we are doing and the teaching was on that also, Gifts of Love. So this year when we hear people say that gift giving is just a commercial aspect of Christmas we will be able to say..."No not my gifts....mine are from the heart'. I will make it a point to think that way when I buy my presents and give to those around me. Until nextMonday when we meet in the Chapel, may the Lord bless and keep you safe this week. Sal

Sal's Message

The evening started slow, could be the way the day was, damp and raining, but once we began to allow the Lord to touch us we felt our Lord's presence. The music was beautiful, what a gift the Lord gave us. Thanks, Mary Ann. After singing and hearing the Lord speak to us we prayed, listened to a teaching on Mercy, and just felt in love deeper with the Lord. The readings were: John Ch. 8 Ver 12 and Ver. 31-32--- Luke Ch6- Ver. 27-36--- and John Ch. 1-18. Remember, never ignore the opportunity to be merciful. So this week allow yourself to be merciful to others. We will meet next Monday in the chapel, so please park in the back so we can all leave together. May the Lord be with you this week. God Bless Sal

Sal's Message

It was good to be back to our regular prayer meeting in the Chapel. Tonight we allowed the Holy Spirit to gently touch us and we did not have to look at the time. The Lord was with us. A word was given, " My children remain open, hold My hand for I am with you."-- also My children I have walked among you tonight and I have anointed each of you. The readings were: 1Corinthians Ch.10- Ver. 23-26----and Psalms Ch.21-Ver. 1-8---. The teaching was on how to dwell in His presence and in moments of prayer giving thanks for the faith He has given us and also how grateful we are for the community, prayer group and our sisters and brothers that attend our pray meeting We are strong in number and powerful in prayer. We thank the Lord for all of us, and ended feeling joyfilled. We will meet next Monday and allow the Lord to touch our hearts again. Have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving. Love in Christ Sal and Janice

Sal's message

Our prayer meeting tonight went from the choir room to Father Anderson,s Library, but when we settled down the Lord came upon us and we felt His presence. With song in our hearts and praise we enjoyed the singing and sharing. The reading were 2 Corinthian Ver. 5-----1John ch.3-ver24-29-----Psalms 23. We had a short teaching tonight on Finding Christ. If you read John13-ver.8-12 you may understand about looking for Christ in your life. He may be right in front of you, in your loved ones or your friends or people passing in your life. So this week seek the presence of God in all things, realizing that He is often to be found in the lives of those around us. Next Monday we will be back to our regular prayer service starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Not sure if you can park in back or front. Just check as you drive in. Have a safe and holy week. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

Our Lord is so good. We could not get into the choir room so we went to the chapel and for the 45 minutes that we gathered together, we knew our Father was with us. Tonight we prayed and sang a few songs and enjoyed the presence of four new loving Christians, Jim and Rena, and Anne and her sister, Alice. The Spirit moved. You never know how He going to touch you. Anne K. shared on the Gift of Healing which was so needed tonight. There were many there who needed prayer and healing. Prayer was so powerful tonight. We saw a couple resting in the Spirit, and we saw the love ofJesus shared by our prayer group sisters and brothers. Thank you Lord for giving us this special short time together, but any time with ourLord is special. Wed. evening there is a Healing Mass at St. Ann's Church at 7:30p.m. It is time for us to come together and allow the Holy Spirit to heal us. I hope we can make it, I myself am not sure if Iwill be there but I am going to try. Monday we will meet in the Chapel. I found that we are able to finish in time before the bible study begins in the church. So please park in front and come through the church. Oneof the doors will be open early. May the LordBless and Keep you safe this week. Sal

Sal's Message October 1

In the chapel or in the choir room, when we come together in the name of Jesus, the power of the Lord is always with us. In the 45 minutes that we sang, prayed, and offered up our prayers, we could feel the strength of Our Lord. The love in the choir room was strong. This love together with our love for Jesus filled each of us before we left to go either home or into the church for Father Dan's bible study. The reading tonight came from Psalms 1--Psalms 11---Psalms 97--and Revelation Ch. 3--. For the next five weeks we will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room for45 minutes. Please try to come on time. There is a healing mass this Friday at Saint Catherine Church, 130 Bray Ave., Middletown. Praise andWorship starts at 7:00p.m.-Father Jeff Kegley-Celebrant of the Mass. Tonight we had the pleasure of having Sonia and Anna attend our prayer meeting. It was great to see both of them. We started quietly and allowed the Holy Spirit to come into our hearts. A word was given, "Tonight My children let you hearts be your guide and I will be beside you". The readings were: Psalms Ch. 33-ver.1-5---Psalms Ch.139-ver.1-18----Isaiah Ch. 41--ver.28----Matthew Ch. 5-ver. 3-10. A poem was read by Geri which was very powerful. The teaching was on Mercy, how God's mercy works in our lives. We must remember even the smallest act of mercy will show God's Love and patience to others. We ended in a small sharing and prayer. Another beautiful evening with our Lord. REMINDER, the next six weeks we will meet in the choir room, at 7:30p.m. Please try to come on time. We will pray, sing and offer up our prayers. Sal's Message September 17

With the Grace of the Holy Spirit tonight, we enjoyed Mary Ann's beautiful music as always, and we allowed the Holy Spirit to come into our hearts. Being in the chapel and praising the Lord just makes you feel so good. A word was given: "My children when you leave here tonight you shall leave with a healing heart." The readings were:John Ch. 3----and Matthew Ch. 5-Ver. 1--12--"The Beatitudes". The teaching was on "A Divine Appointment", that is experiencing the Holy Spirit in your daily life. A story was read, and we realized that we are true children of God the Father, the Creator of all Things. We also had five minutes of just thanking the Lord for everything he is doing in our life. That was also powerful. Thank you Lord for a blessed evening. Until next Monday went we meet in the Chapel, God Bless each of you. Sal

Sal's Message

What a powerful evening the Lord gave us tonight! We started singing and praising the Lord off key, but after a while we sounded like angels. Well, that may be a bit too much but the Lord filled the chapel. The readings were: Ephesians Ch. 1 Ver. 3--6---2 Corinthans Ch 1. ver. 3--6 and 1Corinthans Ch. 1- ver. 26--29. The teaching was on Staying in the Palm of His Hand. The evil of the world is so prevalent that you almost seem foolish if you are not open to all the wrongs in it. We have to be careful to stay in this "safe place" that is, being in the Palm of His Hand. We must call on the Lord and know that He is our Shepherd, that He will always be there for each of us. We also had a powerful prayer time after the teaching. Many came up for prayer and we prayed for powerful healings. Until next week, may the Lord keep each of you safe. God Bless, SAL

Anne's message

Even though it's summer and people are on vacation, including Jan and Sal, we continue to gather each Monday evening to give praise and thanks to the Lord. We were a group of nine last night. Mary Ann was there with her guitar which certainly helps keep us on key and makes us sound much better. John 17 vs 1-13 was read in which Christ prays for Himself and for his disciples that they may have the fullness of his joy. We did feel this joy last night. Our friends, acquaintences, and the world were lifted in prayer. Phyllis gave a wonderful teaching on forgiveness. It seems that this is something the Lord wants us to work on and we all need to look into our own hearts. Manny also shared briefly on Matthew 16 vs. 11-20. Manny and Evelyn are new to our group and we welcome them. I invited everyone to go to onecameback.blogspot.com. a new site for prayer requests started by my daughter. If you look to the right on this blog you will see a link to it which you can click on. There are many prayers needed. I am very thankful for the faithfulness and openess to the spirit of our group. God bless us all! Anne

Mary Ann's Message

I am sending this week's synopsis of our meeting in the absence of Sal and Jan who are traveling to Florida and cruising. They will be back in 10 days. Please keep them in prayer for a safe trip and refreshing one too.

Sal gave a word from the Lord: "You are my dear and faithful servants. Remain strong in me and I will never fail you". In our quiet time, we really felt the presence of the Lord at chapel. It is such a peaceful feeling to just be there.

The readings were:
Isaiah 40: 3-11- Comforting God's People
Jeremiah 31:1-14 - Gods' love is Everlasting, Always There
Colossians 1:9-14 Living Life Worthy in the Lord
1 Corinthians 13: 1-9 The Love We Must Have for Others

The teaching was on Forgiveness, a second week on forgiveness, so the Lord wants us to listen up and pay attention.

The story was of a man in wooded area thinking about all the things that made him feel hurt, anxious, angry, people who did him wrong, maybe not knowing they did that to him, all of the bad feelings that sometimes linger within the soul, harboring feelings for people who did things to him that he did not think were right nor fair.

The readings were: James Ch.1-Ver. 19--27---Mark Ch. 11-Ver.22---Ephesians Ch. 4--Ver.14. We are to be guided by His way, and when we go out and forgive our friends or family members or whoever, we then feel the presence and love of our Lord in doing so. If you were there tonight you felt the love of God surround each of us. Thank You Lord, for another peaceful and beautiful evening with you. Until next monday have a blessed and safe week. Sal,s Message Aug 6

Let the Lord lead and place your trust in Him and all will go well. Yes tonight we sang, praised and prayed and the readings I felt were strong and prayer time was very powerful. The readings are: Matthew Ch.6-Ver.19-21---Ephesians Ch. 1- Ver. 11-14---Philippians Ch. 2-Ver.6---also a sharing on prayer by Manny telling us how important it is to pray daily and often during the day. The teaching was on God's Promise in The Cross, and we were reminded of why God gave His only Son for our sins. Read John Ch.3-Ver.16- "For God So Loved The World That He Gave His One and Only Son, That Whoever Believes In Him Shall Not Perish ButHave Eternal Life. So this week take a good look at the Cross, and remember God's Promise. Until next Monday at 7:30 p.m. may you all have a blessed week. Sal

We will keep them it our prayers that they may join us again. We ended in prayer leaving with the love of the Lord with us. Until next Monday may the Lord bless and keep each of you safe this week. Love inChrist Sal

Sal's Message July 23

Lord, Thank you for bringing our prayer group together last night. As I sat and watched my sisters and brothers praise the Lord the love of Christ shinning from them was breathtaking! You are so good Lord! Fellowship was great. The reading were: Psalms 10 ver. 2--3, Psalms121---Ephesians Ch. 3- ver. 1--13, and Matthew 10,ver. 37-42. The teaching was on the power of prayer and how we all belong together as children of God. We want to live our life as His beloved child. And that we are doing. We want to be just like Jesus. We thank Debbie and Bruce for a great sat afternoon at there home. We left knowing the Lord is with us always. Looking forward to fellowship next monday. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message July 16

Take a group of loving Christians and place them in a small chapel and allow the Lord to touch them, and see what happens. Yes how powerful theLord can be! We sang, praised the Lord and as always left tonight with the Love of Jesus. The readings are:1 John 2 Ch.1-Ver.5-10---Psalms 33-Ver.20-22----Isaiah Ch. 12. The teaching came from Mark 14: 32-36--. We began to understand God's suffering in the garden, and learned that God was never more human than at that hour. So if and when we are suffering let's take a walk in the garden of Gethsemane and know that God's greatest gift was his suffering for us. Until next Monday evening or if before that at Debbie and Bruce house this Sat. at 1:30p.m. may the Lord bless and keep each of you safe. Sal

Sal's Message

As always we started with quiet prayer and as we prayed the Lord gave us a word. ( I have chosen each of you to lead. Now let your heart show you the way.) The reading were Psalms Ch. 104---Psalms Ch. 138--Hebrews Ch.5-ver. 7--10. The teaching this week continues from last week, which was Grasping for Grace. This week was What Grace Means. Romans8--31, said it all. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" So repeat the first four words this week and let it stay with you, ( God Is For US ). Yes, and when you learn that God is not only within sight, He is within reach, you will know that is what Grace Means. Next Monday when we continue on Grace, Mary Ann will be doing the teaching. The air condition is on for us now thanks to Father Dan. Have a blessed week, Sal

Sal's Message

My Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, what a beautiful night we had at the chapel. It was filled with the voices of angels and the power of the Holy Spirit was present. Although it was warm in the chapel we continued to sing, praise, and worship our Lord. A word was given, "Be strong my child and allow me to guide you and lead you and show you the way". The readings were: John Ch. 12- ver. 44----Matthew Ch.7-ver.7-12----Isaiah Ch. 58--ver.11-----Isaiah 41-ver.27--31---and Romans Ch. 15.- The teaching was on Grasping Grace. We learned or knew that "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith----and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2: 8--9). Through grace we are able to walk on water, and life has real purpose, and God is not only within sight, he is within reach. Also prayer time was so powerful and the music was great. We are truly blessed to have the gift of Mary Ann and Rich 1 playing, and also to have Rich 2 with us. Next week we will meet and the teaching will be on what Grace Means. God Bless all of you this week. Sal

Sal's Message

Prayer, Praise, Song, and Jesus, is how we gathered tonight and fellowshiped with each other. Jesus is the way we were told, (Take hold my child for I will take you on a journey of love) and that is what happened tonight. The reading are: Ephesian Ch. 1-ver. 3-10----Isaiah ch.55---- and John ch.10--ver. 1-18. The teaching was on faith, and we were left to think about our protector, who He is. We know He is the One who stands with His arms wide open waiting for us to come and huddle in the security of all He is. We ended as always in prayer, and left with the love of Jesus in our heart. Just a reminder that there is no prayer meeting next week because of the Holiday. We will be back the following monday evening. Have a safe Holiday. Love in Christ, Sal

Tuesday, May 08, 2007

"Well, tonight was a very different type of night, and the Lord certainly showed a sense of humor! We arrived in the parking lot at church to find out both the chapel and church were being used for Confirmation. Not sure of knowing who was going to come to prayer meeting, we sat in Anne's van, first just 3 of us and we thought we would have just a quick prayer meeting in it...then 1 more came, and we made room, and then 1 more and we made more room....listened to a version of Amazing Grace on CD.....then two more came and we were out of space!!!! But we persisted and found the Music Room to be empty...so we all transferred to our next place to continue. I am sure the Lord looked down and chuckled too...we were tested but we carried on to a place for a little quiet time. Our thoughts turned inward for a few minutes to taking in all of God's love for us...without asking Him for anything at that moment..we just sat and "were". We were to just feel the presence of the Lord within us and "know" the Love there. Just as a baby chick is taken under its mother's wing for protection and love, so we too were to try to feel and experience that at that moment. We came with thankful hearts. Psalm 103 was read and we dwelled on the words. Our next few minutes turned to petitions and thanksgiving to our Lord above for allowing us the time to be with Him. And of course, we prayed for the power of the Holy Spirit to fall upon the young confirmation candidates. He truly is "Amazing Grace".

Sal's Message

Tonight the teaching was "I INVITE YOU INTO MY PRESENCE", but before we even heard the teaching, the Lord was so powerful. We each felt His strong presence through the silence and the gift of word, the songs sung and the sharing of our prayer family. One reading was given from Hebrews Ch. 5--and many words were given. One was " BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD", and we were. You could feel the Lord's presence bring each of us a special peace. Geri shared that the sign above Jesus on the cross, INRI could mean "I NEVER REGRET IT. We found this very powerful. We must always remember to trust the cross and when we do we will be welcomed into God's presence. Reminder we will not meet nextMonday, but will return on Monday, April 16, at 7:30p.m. in the chapel. Have a Happy and Blessed Easter, Love in Christ, Sal

Sal's Message

Take a small group of people, place them in a chapel, allow them the power to sing and praise the Lord, and you have an evening of complete Joy in Jesus. That is how we felt tonight. The Lord was there for each of us, We felt His Angels dancing around us as we praised the Lord. A word was given " I am aware of your presence my child and I am here to heal you". The readings were: Ezekiel Ch.37----Roman Ch. 1---Ver. 16-17. The teaching was on "What Will You Leave at The Cross?" We closed our eyes and relived Good Friday at the Cross. We were asked to leave something at the foot of the Cross so that we could be healed. If we leave all our sins, -literally at the Cross we will find a new peace. So find some quiet time this week and speak to our Lord at the cross, and leave all your sins and you will feel so good, good in Christ. Until we meet next Monday, May God Bless and Keep you safe. Love in Christ, Sal

Sal's Message

By some mistake I though we would be in the choir room, but we moved back to the Chapel tonight. I'm sorry for those who had to walk all around. We began quietly in prayer and listened to the Lord speak to each of us. Mary Ann played and her gift of music is so beautiful. The reading were: John Ch. 17- Ver. 20---24----and Joel Ch.2--Ver 12-17. The teaching was on Lent, and our thoughts why we are here, what purpose are we put on earth for? We found that we are here to accomplish something and to do our best to live the Gospel in all situations of our life. So we are left with this question, " Am I doing it?? Am I living the Gospel and thus having the effects that God wanted me to have on this earth?" ---If not,we still have some time. Something to think about this week. We ended in prayer and left with peaceful hearts. Until we meet next Monday in theChapel, may God Bless and keep each of you in the palm of His Hand. God Bless Sal

Sal's Message

The Lord was truly present tonight as we prayed and sang. His words were, "My children I am here, you have called Me, I am present. I will show you the way". He also offered a gift for each one of us. All we have to do is listen and feel it through our heart. He will show us. Well after that some of the readings and the teaching offered us gifts. The reading were: 1 Corinthians Ch. 4-ver. 9-----Micah Ch.7-Ver.18----Isaiah Ch. 41----Romans Ch. 4-Ver. 4-8-----JeremiahCh.18-ver.1-6. The teaching was on Love your neighbor as yourself. Becoming grateful is the armor to put on, and it will help us to see things more clearly. I believe this is a gift from God, which we can learn to use. Let us each day live out our Yes to the Lord. We will meet next Monday in the choir room at 7:30 p.m. Please pray for all of our Sisters and Brothers that attend our prayer meeting. We all need prayers. Until next Monday, God Bless. Sal

Sal's Message

We gathered together at Sal and Janice's house this week because the choir room was too cold a few weeks ago. It was bitter cold outside but the house was warn with the Love of Jesus and the fellowship of each other made the evening feel like summer. Jesus came to us last night with powerful readings and words given. The readings were: Jeremiah Ch. 1 -Ver.5----Jeremiah Ch. 29-----Psalms. Ch.62---and Joshua-1. A word was given " If your heart is heavy come forward and I will heal you'. We many have come with a heavy heart but I am sure we did not leave that way. We enjoyed Bill's sharing and ended in prayer. Some stayed for fellowship. a Until we meet next Monday, may the Lord Bless and keep each of you safe this week. God Bless. Sal

Sal's Message

The night was short but the fellowship was strong. Blessed with the presence of the Lord the night became filled with the power of prayers. We did not sing or have a teaching but the time together was filled with the love of Jesus in each of our hearts. There was a word given, in our quiet time. The Lord said, " Each of you here and all that are not will begin a journey, so stay aware and listen because I will be speaking to your hearts. We ended in prayer and remaining open to what is ahead for us as Lent begins. May the Lord Bless and keep each of you safe. God Bless until we meet in the choir room next week. Sal

Sal's Message

Thank you Lord for the power of prayer which was given to our prayer group tonight. The presence of the Lord surrounded us and with Mary Ann's music, we warmed ourselves in the Lord. The readings were: James 2-Ch.3--Ver13-18---1John Ch 5--ver.1--12---Deuteronomy ch.4--ver.31-- The teaching was on "Our Task," What do you think God is asking of you in your life? We neglect so many opportunities to "BE" Christ to those around us. We should pray every day for the heart of Christ--a heart of Love. Remember God's greatest gift to us is His Son, Jesus, so share the gift of Jesus with everyone you meet, not so much by your words as by your actions. Again, the night was very powerful for prayer. Many I believe will have answered prayers. Until next Monday as we meet in the choir room in the front of church. Have a blessed week and BE Christ to others. God bless, Sal

Sal's Message

It may have been very cold outside, but it was warm at Sal and Janice's house as we gathered to warm up with our Lord. We prayed, praised and sang some songs. A word was given, ( Stand strong My children, for I am taking you on a journey, so be prepared.) There were some reading: John16---ver. 13-15-----Psalm 40------- 2 Corinthians Ch.9-Ver. 9-10. The teaching was on Psalm 150--we reflected on how we praise the Lord, and if we take the time to do so or not. We tried to focus on Our Lord 's presence around us and to always thank Him, Praise Him, and Love Him. We closed and some stayed for fellowship. Cold evening but the Love of Jesus in us kept us warn. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

The night was cold and the chapel was chilly but we all came with a warm heart and the love of Jesus, so keeping our coats on we sang and praised the Lord and warmed ourselves up. The power of prayer again was so very strong. There was a reading from Ephesians Ch. 1--Ver. 3--14. A word was given, "We have not chosen Him, He has chosen us and we are to go out and be fruitful. " Bill did the teaching and his gift of speaking and sharing is so powerful. He shared about real life, that bad things happen and that we should count our blessings and with God's help when the bad stuff comes we will know how to handle it. There was so much more in his teaching hard to share. We ended in joyful prayer and went to our warn homes and thanked the Lord for bringing us together again. Until next Monday, may the Lord bless you and keep you safe this week. God bless, Sal

Our 3rd Organizational Meeting

Our 3rd organizational meeting began at 7:30 with prayers of praise, thanksgiving and petition. Janice and Sal, Mary Ann, Phyllis, Rich, Lindy, Bill, Geri and myself were present

We reviewed each aspect of our prayer meeting using last years minutes as our guide for discussion.

Prayer meetings are usually starting close to 7:30. This is improvement.

Since last year, we have made a smaller circle of chairs. We are able to hear better and have a better feeling of intimacy.

Sal has been opening with prayer. All are welcome to add to this prayer. This is followed by a time of silence. We as a group have become more comfortable with silence.

Mary Ann is now the music ministry since Rich Ruggeri has found a prayer group closer to his home. Mary Ann requested that we ask her before the prayer meeting if we want a particular song. This way she is able to play it at a time when it will fit in with the flow of the music and the meeting. When Mary Ann is not present to play for us it was decided we would prefer to sing acappello rather than with a tape because it feels more natural.

We discussed structure of our meeting versus spontaneity and we realize we need a balance, which we strive for.

We feel progress is being made with keepping intercessory prayer from becomming too long or "story time."

Sal was thanked for doing so many teachings. Sal expressed the hope that more of us would volunteer more often to teach since it does become a burden sometimes for him. Sal also believes it is good for us to do teachings and also we do enjoy listening to different members give their teachings. Bill volunteered to speak at the next meeting.

We will continue to pray for individuals at the end of our prayer meeting but if anyone needs to leave early or needs prayer earlier, we will happily pray for anyone at any time.

Mary Ann brought up the possibility of joining occasionally with another local prayer group. We could go to their meeting one time and they could come to ours another time.

I personally believe that these organization meetings are very important. This is an opportunity for us to discuss together whatever concerns we have about our group. The consensus tonight was that we are on track. Praise God!

Anne

Sal's Message

We opened in prayer and allowed the Holy Spirit to touch each of us tonight. Tape music was used and we sang and enjoyed the different songs and felt His presents among us. A word was given, "My children tonight I will light the way for each of you." We were told to listen from our heart, our soul, and our mind. The reading came from: 2 Corinthians Ch.12-Ver.7 ------Colossians Ch. 1 Ver.24---29. The teaching was How Significant Are You? We discovered the significance that has been ours all along as a child of the King. We must be aware of the power of prayer, realizing that our prayer, our life, can make a difference. Read Mark 11, Ver 22--25 and you know how important prayer is, and how powerful and significant you can get. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

How good if felt to come together after the Holidays. Praying, sharing and singing with our Sisters and Brothers tonight and lifting our prayers to the Lord was great. The presence of Our Lord was there when we remained open and allowed Him to touch us. The readings were: 2 Samuel 2---Luke Ch. 7- Ver. 37--45---John Ch.5--Ver. 19--30. The teaching was on Grace and how grace is an invitation to be "at home" with the Father. If we train our eyes to see, we will see Grace in many aspects of our life. God is with us in everything, so keep these words by your side, "Everything I have is Yours." Linger on those words. Live with them. Your Father is saying them to YOU. We will meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m. Until then may Grace be with you this week. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

The Lord works in strange ways. As I was sitting here ready to write about tonight's prayer meeting I opened my folder where I keep my teaching and found a ppiece of paper in it. I remembered this paper fell out of the song book I had used tonight and had not picked up, but someone did after the prayer meeting and put it in my folder. This is what it said. "My Dear and Precious Children, Please remain open and listen carefully to what will be shared tonight. Listen not only with your ears, but listen with your mind and your heart----for what will be shared is for each of you. So my faithful children remain alert and strong and always remember, I AM WITH YOU." We shared tonight on Advent of Grace, remember Grace is a five-letter word that can also be spelled J-E-S-U-S. Offer your heart each day as the new manger where the Word can become flesh. God Bless -----Reminder next Monday Dec. 18, the prayer meeting will be at our home. This will be a Christmas prayer meeting social. Please bring your loved one. We will be having a short prayer meeting, sing Christmas songs and share over coffee and some food. Hope you all can make it. The next meeting will be on Jan. 8, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. You can also bring your Christmas cards, if you like. God Bless.

Sal's Message

What a wonderful night we had with the Lord. His presence became very powerful as the evening continued. Even the presence of our Blessed Mother was shared. The readings were: 1John Ch.3 ver. 1-3----Psalms 41-----Luke 6 ver 27-36. It was shared that the Lord is well pleased with each of us. The teaching was on What Can Keep Us Apart. We learned that nothing can keep us apart from God, only our own free will. Prayer time was very strong tonight, and we believe healing began also. Janice and I will not be at the meeting next week so Anne will lead the prayer group. Please try to attend and share in God's glory. We will keep you all in our prayers next week. Take care and God Bless. Love in Christ, Sal and Janice

Sal's Message

The night was chilly, but the chapel was for awhile warn with the love of Jesus, that each of us felt tonight. The reading are: Luke 14,----2Corinthians--Ch.5. A word was given, "Why do I walk among you? Why do Iplace My hands on each of you? Why? because I love you all." The teaching made us aware that we must each look at what is happening in our life as an pportunity to bring God's presence forth and that we must renew our commitment and place our eyes on Christ. May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving. Until we meet on Monday Nov.27. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

We may have been small in numbers, but the presence of the lord was strong. We spent the evening in deep prayer, anointed first and quietly praying and letting our Lord touch us and warm our hearts. We felt safe in His arms tonight, and tomorrow He will use each of us to do His will. We will meet next Monday to praise and worship our Lord. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

My child, I have found a way to your heart, now I ask you to follow my call." This was a word given tonight at our pray meeting, and I believe it led us to the teaching given later. But first we sang with the beautiful music of Mary Ann and felt the peaceful presence of Our Lord surrounding us. Some other readings were: Psalm 25-- Psalm 27---and James Ch. 1-Ver. 2--11. The teaching was on Psalm 23. Please take the time to read it. We studied the 23rd. Psalm and found out what David was actually saying to us. This week we must keep our focus on Christ, and continue to say as often as we can, " Jesus, I trust in you." We will meet next Monday to Praise The Lord and gather in His Name. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

Tonight we did not have a pray meeting as all of you know. There was a mass for Joe Bulla Pastoral Assistant at St. Benedict from 1993-2005. The service was beautiful as well as the music, the message was just as beautiful. We were told to go out and be church to all people, just as Joe was. So this week let each of us be church to someone. Until next Monday we will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel to praise and worship our Lord. Please keep Anne and her husband in your prayers as they will be traveling to Rome next week. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

Tonight the Chapel was a little chilly, but as we sang and praised theLord, not only did our hearts warm up but also our bodies. The Joy ofThe Lord was present all evening and I believe each of us felt His presence. The readings are: Ephesians Ch.1-Ver.3-6---Ephesians Ch.6-Ver. 1-11----Psalms-11---15----18--and 1 John Ch.3--Ver. 1-3. The teaching was about The Christ In Us. Galatians 2: 17-21, shares about the Christ that lives in me. When we surrender to the will of God, then the answer will be "yes" Christ is in me. Our walk with Christ is not always easy, but with our Lord with us, He will guide us through it. Next week we will not have a pray meeting, but we will attend the Memorial Mass for Joe Bulla in our church at 7:30p.m. We voted at tonight's meeting and everyone agreed to this. Many would not have been able to make the prayer meeting on Oct. 30. We will be back in the Chapel on Nov.6. Until then, God Bless, Sal

Tuesday, October 17, 2006

A word from the Lord was given tonight, "Are you ready My Children for tonight I will take you on a Spiritual Journey," And He did. We arrived at the Chapel, most of us filled already with the joy of the Lord, and it continued from there. We praised, sang, and worshiped the Lord joy filled. The readings were:--1 Peter 1 Ver.3--9,----Ephesians Ch.1-Ver.15--23. The teaching was on the time we accepted Christ in our life, and a reminder of our Yes to the Lord. We were reminded that when we walk with the light of Christ in us, our life will and has changed. This weeks reflecton our"YES". We will meet next Monday in the Chapel. Let us all come with a clean heart, filled with the Holy Spirit. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

"If only I had angels' wings, I'd ride the rainbow's bend, And there, beyond the universe, I'd meet the Lord, my Friend". Well tonight we met Our Lord, through the Holy Spirit. The music brought the sound of Angels in our chapel and the presence of the Holy Spirit was so touching. The readings were:Isaiah51:Ver.12----Ephesians Ch:1-Ver.15---Romans Ch.8-Ver.14-17. A word was given--"Do not fear the future, but keep your focus on Me." The teaching was on how well do you think you understand the Holy Spirit? We all shared after and our meeting ended in a peaceful, quiet, joy. Until next week, may the Lord and the Holy Spirit be with you all. God Bless. Sal

Teaching on Growing - Monday Night 10/2/06

GROWING

I can remember when I purchased this CD and started listening to the individual tracks. They all seemed to have touched my heart because all of them were relating to “today”, not the day of the week, but the “now” times of the present day. As I came upon this track entitled “Growing” for some reason I kept coming back to it playing it over and over again – did God have a word in it for me? Maybe so.

Can you remember back to the time, maybe even the month, day and year, and possibly the event that led you to HIM .... the time when He knocked at the door to your heart....maybe you left your heart open just a tiny bit, maybe just even a tiny crack, just like the door in your home to let in a quiet gentle breeze. He tapped ever so lightly and you heard Him and you let Him into your heart, your soul, your life in a way that you never had before. Can you remember how happy, how on-fire you were, you were so different, you had such joy in your heart, you were on top of the mountain, on top of the world...you never thought you could ever feel this way about the closeness of you and Jesus!!! It seemed also like such a long time that you were honeymooning with the Lord!!!! You were on an all-time Christian “high”.

Then somewhere, sometime, something changed....the Lord was ready to begin the “work in progress” in you. Maybe there were some areas in your life that weren’t quite the way He had wanted them to be. And so He started to show you, bit by bit, tiny pieces at a time, breaking you and refitting you to the image He saw in you. How many times did you pull the other way...because it was too much work to change, maybe too much pain to go through for Him...but He saw the ultimate goal....He saw the end result, even if you didn’t...like a beautiful tapestry, a work of art created after many painstaking hours of sacrifice.

How many of these old ways did He have to help you work on, to rebuild a brand new you...with a different and new loving heart, a brighter set of new eyes to see all His people and the world He created.

Growing – I am sure that sometimes we don’t like it – because that means we have to do the changing in something about ourselves. It’s always that we are the ones called to do the changing and not someone else. Sometimes we crawl at this and set our pace like a snail and we take on the “old” push and pull syndrome with God. But the Lord just sits patiently, always there but in “wait mode” until we get what He wants us to learn. Times like this we may feel that He has left us, abandoned us because we don’t hear Him or feel His presence. He is quiet, because we struggle with the area He wants to change in us, of course for the better in us.

I know there have been times in my life when growing was too painful....it was just easier to stay the way I was – comfortable, not pushing my boundaries – I was happy the way I was, BUT GOD WAS NOT!!!!

Being a Christian is hard work – it is a journey that may take a lifetime to learn and accomplish and sometimes the process is a short one and sometimes a long one. God never said it would be easy – but like I said, He sees the ultimate best in each of us and asks us to come to Him in wholeness. Sometimes we have to come to Him in broken-ness so that He can start the process of refining us like gold. If we can just try to do that, our reward will be great!!

This prayer group is an example of growing. We may have been comfortable and complacent with the ways things might have been. But I believe God has something better for us .... but this will involve change – so we come to Him in our broken-ness, ready to be strengthened with new ideas, new gifts and a stronger faith to what He is calling us to.

Can we accept His call? I hope so.
We’re growing

Sal's Message

What a beautiful evening! The presence of the Holy Spirit was so powerful and the prayers for the gifts of the Holy Spirit were so strong that it encircled us in such a wonderful way. We sang and praised the Lord, and His words gave us strength. The readings were: John Ch.14-Ver.1-14---Isaiah Ch.42 Ver. 1-7----Psalms 34------Jeremiah Ch.29Ver.11-14. Mary Ann did a great teaching on Growing, which allowed us to think of our growth in the Lord and where He has taken us, since we first walked with Him. The sharing was strong and the prayers that followed just filled the Chapel with the presence of the Holy Spirit. We left filled with His love ready to do God's work with others. Thank You Lord for a powerful evening. We will meet next Monday at 7:30p.m. and I will do the teaching. Hope you all can make it. God Bless and keep each of you safe. Sal

Sal's Message

"Take hold of my hand my child for tonight I will guard you and lead you". Well, that is what our Lord did tonight. We came together hearts filled with the love of our Lord and throughout the evening whether it was singing, praising or sharing He showed His love for us. The readings were Philippians Ch.4-Ver.4--9----James Ch. 3. Another word from our Lord was that "He will never leave you or forsake you." The teaching was a story about approval and choices. Have you ever felt as if you had to please people? What is the best way of reminding ourselves we don't have to please people? That's where we left off, time to think and pray. We ended in prayer. Looking forward to next Monday evening. Mary Ann will be doing the teaching, so please try to support her. Until Monday have a blessed and safe week. Our prayers are with you all. God bless, Sal

Sal's Message

When two or more are gathered in His name, well tonight we were four, and it was a beautiful quiet but loving time. As we open and pray and sang we began to feel the peace and presence of our Lord in the chapel, and when we started our pray request, the peace of the Lord seem to surround us. Itt was a very deep and strong time with our Lord as we each offered up our prayers. The readings were: Roman 8-Ver 14-17----Ephesians 1 Ver. 15-23. The teaching was on peace just as the evening was. Funny how our Lord works or is it? We shared on the prayer of St. Francis, and how we can get an insight into developing that peace in ourselves and be instruments of peace to others. We ended in quiet prayer and left feeling the quiet presence of Our Lord. We will meet next Monday at 7:30p.m. and also this Wed. at St. Ann's church. There is a healing mass at 7:30p.m. Sept.20, with Father Jeff Kegley. We are all going to try and attend if possible, if not we will keep all of you in our prayers. God Bless Sal

Sal's Message

Tonight our voices may have been a little off key, but the words of each song was very strong, as we continued to sing and praise the Lord we began to focus and feel the presents of our Lord. Some of the reading were: Lamentations Ch. 3 Ver.22-27----Colossians Ch.2 Ver. 4-8----Psalms21---Matthew Ch. 5-Ver.1-12. The teaching tonight told a story and at the end the moral was that we will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds, also life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath. So this week we will try to go out and do God's ordinary miracles, the simple loving ones, the ones that will plant the seed of God's Love. So until next Monday, have a blessed and safe week. God Bless, Sal

9/11/06

Today is a day to remember.. I watched a little of the memorial service on TV...the persons at the podium reciting the names of the deceased, some brothers, some fathers, some mothers, some children, aunts, uncles, friends, wives, husbands...the list goes on. I could not help but to have those names again tug at my heart just like last year and the years before that. The tears welled up inside of me. I knew one man who died...he went to school in the Bronx in grammar school in my class thru the 8th grade. I remember he was my partner in a St. Patrick's Day Play at my school in 8th grade. We danced the Irish Polka together. So sad to know that he was in the thousands that perished that day. I know of a son of my orthodontist who also perished that day too...he worked on one of the top floors. And I know of a sweet lady from our prayer group who made it out that day all for the sake a cigarette smoke break before a meeting. I still remember waiting to hear if she made it out ok. O.K....well maybe just in speaking... I am sure the events of that day still linger in her mind and will be a part of her forever.

How sad for all of those thousands of people to die through no fault of their own. So many helped others to safety..others tried so hard but their efforts could not get them to safety and so many of them perished also.

Today...a day we will always remember...God help us to remember and not forget ever...but remind us to always pray for those who were left behind to carry on their families. Help us to ask for your grace to be with them always, that you will uphold them in your palms and open your arms wide to them because you know above all, how they are suffering now.

The ones who have died are with you...a roadway was created to Heaven that day, and you have welcomed them. We love them even if we don't know them, because you love them.

God we pray for peace that this never happens again!!!!

8/25/06 Monday Night Teaching -- Waiting

The word to wait in the dictionary means to stay put in anticipation of or expecting of something.

WAIT – it’s a short little word that can produce a great outcome…..or a time of anxiousness and impatience.

Waiting is the passage of TIME!!!

We wait for a late bus or train.
We wait at a red light in a car for it to turn green.
We wait in a long line at a supermarket.
We wait to get into a Broadway show or big hit movie.
We wait in a doctor’s office reception room, only to wait again in his or her examining room for the results of that test.
We wait for our family to be on time to go out to dinner.
We wait for time to stop….we wait for time to start.
We wait for our prayers to be answered, when we want them to be.

The Lord tells us to wait…BUT, to wait on HIM….to stay put in prayer for the outcome of a great victory… OURS OR HIS!!! His victory is our victory!!!

We think our waiting is the “perfect” time.

God says, “No, not yet…or He says, “No, final, but lovingly” and we don’t understand.

We wait for God’s timing to be perfect…it always is…how come we don’t get it!!! How come we try to push our waiting to a minimal nil!!! We have a thousand excuses for not waiting.

Waiting….there are many verses in the Bible ask us to wait of which some are:

Ps. 40:1 .. I waited for the Lord on high, I waited and he heard my cry.
Ps. 37:7 .. Stay quiet before Yahweh and wait longingly for Him.
Is. 40:31 .. They that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength…and then there is

Good things come to those that wait (This is an old proverb, but many times heard over and over)

Our human self tells us, it is hard to wait, don’t wait, don’t give ample time----just forge ahead---when we do that we get into trouble.

Our spiritual self understands the concept of waiting---because we have heard it before, over and over again, in spiritual talks, in prayers, in bible stories, in our communications with others, in His prophecy spoken by ministers of word gifts.

Waiting is a BIG word….God honors us and blesses us when we wait….on Him, for Him, in Him… Yes, wait in Him, for He gives us the strength to wait---for things to come, even if we don’t understand the why, not now!!!

So if we get caught up in the W A I T !!!, Waiting Anxiously In Time….Ask and seek the Lord with all your heart and ask Him to turn your wait into a peaceful time until He reveals His plan for you.

Message from Sal for August 28

With Praise and Glory we came together to sing and worship our Lord tonight. The music from Mary Ann was a gift from God. The present of The Holy Spirit was felt, a word was given: (Take hold of My hand my child for tonight I will take you on a journey, a journey of My Love for you.) That is what happen, as we travel with His love in our hearts and as we praise and sang to the Lord we were taken of a Journey. Some of the readings were: Proverbs Ch. 3 Ver. 1-12----Isaiah 35----Roman Ch.8-Ver.14-17----Matthew Ch 5.-----The teaching was given by MaryAnn, it was on "waiting " it was great, she told us that waiting can be hard, and many other things. She told us to wait on Him he will give us the strength to wait," alot to think about," and then we share on her beautiful talk. The present of the Holy Spirit was truly in our chapel tonight. Thank You, Just a reminder that next Monday we will not be there because of the Labor day weekend. We will meet on Sept. 11, at 7:30 p.m. and I will be doing the teaching. Have a bless week and stay well. Love in Christ, Sal

Sal's Message for August 21

As we gather tonight we started quietly praying and listening for the Lord to speak to us. We then sang some songs and had some readings. The night became more spiritual as we pray, and worship our Lord. We heard a word from the Lord,( The Lord told us that He was just a breath away from us.) Sal's Message

Was the Holy Spirit present tonight? For sure, the Lord, His gifts, and the Holy Spirit tough each one of us tonight. The music from Maryann was beautiful, songs that touch our soul. We had a vision of the Holy Spirit shining over each of us. The Readings were: Roman Ch. 1 Ver.16-17---1Corinthians Ver. 4--9----Ephesians Ch.1-Ver.15--23---Psalms 9-Ver1----Isaiah 52-Ver7----. The teaching was on "Now That's God", showing us that he is with us always, and when we think something is a coincidence it is not-- "That's God in our life," in many different ways. We close with pray, and look forward to next week. God Bless Sal

Well the lights went on in the chapel this week, as well as the air condition, and we thank God for that. Tonight we began quietly, listening to hear His words. He encourage us and told us we would be going on a journey and to hold on to Him and place our trust in Him. Each day is a journey went we walk with our Lord. Some reading where: Psalms 46---Psalms 30---Philippians 4----Roman 8---. One of the words share tonight was:" Jesus wants us to come to Him as we are, He will change us". The teaching was on Worry or Trust, we hear that we must place our trust in Him, that God is fond of us, He likes having you around. We must listen to Him and do what He tell us to do. Place our trust in Him this week know matter what. We ended in quiet pray and felt peaceful as we left to do God will. Sal's Message

Again the lights did not work in the chapel, but that did not stop us, we headed to the music room and began to worship there. Obstacle's are not part of our plan tonight. Maryann play and we sang and praise and aloud the Lord to touch our hearts again tonight. A word was given" I am here, you have call of Me, now rest in my arms". Some readings were: Isaiah 40 Ver:28--31----I Corinthians Ver:4--9----Isaiah 30----Isaiah 41-Ver:9-10----.The teaching was on Trusting God for the Impossible. We heard that "There is no pit so deep, that God's love is not deeper still." Mary's yes to Christ, and our yes will help us through the impossible things. Just know that the Lord who does the impossible will do great things for you----because he loves you. The pray time tonight was so very powerful and also our sharing, we ended with the love of Christ in our heart, and headed home to share this with our family and friends this week. Until next Monday evening Love is Christ, and God Bless. Sal

A Word from Sal

With the heat outside and the ten of us in the chapel praising the Lord, He allow us to have the Air Condition on, but the lights where not working so we had to shorten the pray meeting tonight. That did not stop us from feeling the present of our Lord, we welcome Him in, in song, and He gave us two readings, Psalms 95---and John 15-Ver1-to 17, Sal"s teaching was on How do you see Him? How do you see Jesus, would you recognize Him, if He came to your church or neighborhood today. When we let God define himself, a whole new world opens before us. So this week look around you just may see Jesus standing next to you. Until next week, also let us keep Debbie and Bruce in your prays, Debbie lost her father today. God Bless and keep cool, Sal

Shawl Ministry Prayer

Phyllis is a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. This is her prayer.

Dear Lord,

Bless my hands as I sit and Crochet, Knit, or Sew this Shawl. My every stitch is my prayer to you God for the person who receives this shawl.

May she/he feel a sense of warmth, peace and love as they wear it. Whatever the reason may they know you are with them and will help to keep them strong. May all their sorrows and pain be swept away and only joy prevail.

May they know God is with them to celebrate their joys and ease their sorrows and pain.

Thank you for this gift you have given me. Thank you for showing me a way to use this gift for others. Amen

WHEN JESUS COMES by Phyllis June 26, 2006

If you were with us at the prayer meeting last week, you will remember us talking about having a guest speaker sometime. During the night I mentioned "when Jesus calls" was going through my head. I put my foot in my mouth and said any of us can be a guest speaker. Where as Sal asked if I would like to do the teaching next week. I thought about it for about 30 seconds and said "yes. "

I went home. On Tuesday I picked up the Bible and figured this will be easy. Nothing came to me. Wednesday, read a little more. Thursday, the same routine. Friday my mind was still a blank. In the evening I was sitting on the front porch. Sal called. "Can you do the teaching? If not, I can do it. Would you like to wait another week? " he asked. I said "No, I'll do it."
Thinking, "I have it!" I went to my book, Stories for the Heart. I found the article "My Heart, Christ's Home." Aha, I'll just read this. This should satisfy. So I read the story. NO. This is not what Jesus wanted. The concept was right but it wasn't my heart. Jesus wanted to come into my heart, as he does to each one of us.

Sal called again Saturday. Are you sure you want to do this. We're having guests so you'll have to speak loud. "Sal, I'll do it." So here goes - some thoughts taken from the text.

When Jesus comes to call, will I know Him? recognize Him? Invite Him in?

KNOCK KNOCK

I open the door - It's Jesus. I let him in, feeling uncomfortable not knowing if I am worthy to have Him as a guest. We enter the library. My library is a bookshelf on the back of my bed, since I don't read many books. There's the morning paper. I have to read the news, the obituary, the funnies and do all my crossword puzzles. Where's my Bible? Did I pick it up today? Did I remember to say my prayers? Maybe yes, maybe no - more often times no.

Boy, am I embarrassed. Put away the newspaper and greet God first. I'll be glad when I do. He will help me get a better start to the day.

From the Library we go to the kitchen - the room of aromas and something on the stove. My impatience and the coffee are both boiling over today. My favorite dishes are my family - husband Dom, sons Dominick and Vincent, daughters Marie and Michele and of course the grandchildren. Atlantic City is a favotie side dish. He sits with me a while and tells me first to please God and the food will satisfy you. There He gave me a taste of doing Dod's will. It alone satisfied.

Next the living room. It's my home - a couch, 2 chairs, 3 cats, tv. Really the living room. Well I am thrilled to have God here. Shut off the tv - open up the Bible and spend some time with God. After all, He is my guest. I cannot make Him feel unwanted. I must make more time for Him!

The craft room! Right now I am working on a pair of booties for my grandchild. Is this what you do for people He asked? "Sure" I said. "Alright, give Me your hands, I know you are unskilled, but through the Holy Spirit I will control your hands and heart." He will work through you. The more I relax and trust in the Lord, the more He can do in my life.

Next, I'm in the car on the way to Atlantic City. I run from machine to machine, putting the change - dollars in. I hit! I can play some more! "Oh Dom, Do you have any more money?" Lord, you certainly didn't want to come with me here. I left Jesus at home and found greed. Lord I know I can't have a good time without you - so please come with me wherever I go.

Next, the closet. Boy, what things are in there. Do I let Him see? We open the door together. He tells me, "Throw out the impatience, smugness, greed, envy, pity of my heart and I will show you how to clean up your thoughts and deeds. I will give you courage, strength, patience, understanding and love. I will satisfy all your needs and wants.

Next - my sanctuary - my backyard and front porch. It is a beautiful place, with birds singing, flowers blooming, green trees, and a garden with fruits and vegetables. God has given me these so I may fully enjoy what he has to offer. We sit and He shows me all the wondrous things He has made for me and given to me in this life. He shows me how my parents influenced me - how I was worthy of a great husband and a beautiful family, plus many, many friends.

These Lord are my riches in life. Jesus is the center. We are all part of his garden and he tends to each one of us in our own public and private lives. He knows who I am, whom I'm with, where I am and every thought and desire. He loves me!

He is not my guest but my Host. Hehas the key to my heart. The Life of the Spirit lives in me!

Go from room to room in your heart and you will find Jesus too!
