Sal's Message

Matthew, Ch.6-ver. 33- says, "Seek first the Kingdom of God." Well that is what we have been doing at our prayer meeting, seeking His kingdom and His Love. Yes, we found it again as we gathered in His Name. The Love of Jesus was with us and each week it is getting stronger and stronger as we gather in His Name. The reading tonight was from John ch. 6- ver 37- 40. The teaching was on How well we know the Lord, and how we live our life. Manny and Evelyn shared their trip and where Jesus had walked and many other things. We thank them for their sharing and theie gifts to
us. We have two more weeks, starting at 7:00p.m. until 8:15p.m. Have a safe week, and remember to pray before you vote tomorrow. God Bless

Sal's Message

Tonight was a night of Peace, Peace, Peace, Peace. Very few words are needed to describe tonight. We had one reading from John ch. 3--ver. 31--36. This evening we sang. There was one short song that we read, it was called "He Touched Me," it goes like this ( He touched me, oh he touched me, and oh the joy that floods my soul. Something happened, and now I know, he touched me and made me whole.) That is what happened tonight. Praise The Lord. We will meet next Monday at 7:00p.m. until
8:15 p.m for 3 more weeks. Until next week may The Lord keep you safe. God Bless, Sal

Sal's Message

We only had one hour and fifteen minutes to praise and worship our Lord, but time seemed to stand still. Tonight the Lord made us feel as if we were there so much longer. Why? Because His presence was so strong and the Holy Spirit was really moving in the chapel. Two words were given tonight, { " You are the apple of my eye and every good thing I created was for you."}-------also-------{" For the journey may be rough but the destination is rewarding."}--------- Please try to read Psalm
27- very powerful. The teaching was on "Living and everyday life of victory", always focusing on our Lord and praising Him in every situation and feeling the joy of the Lord in you always. Try to praise Him through the good and the bad times. Lift Him up as often as you can. We ended with a ver. from Philippians, ch.4-ver.13 "I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me." We will meet next week at 7:15 p.m. and please bring your bibles for sharing. Until then have a safe week and God Bless. Sal

Our Lord is a Mighty powerful Lord, and even though we were few in numbers, we were strong in song, praise, and worship. The Lord is so good to us and tonight as always He showed His love. "Praise The Lord", the readings are: Philippians Ch. 1 - ver. 3-11----Psalms 93---. A word was given { My Children you are My devoted servants and you will be with Me always.} The teachings were on the Love of Jesus, and a prayer card was given out, a very powerful one. When you come you will be given one. We ended with the love of Jesus in our hearts. We look forward to next week. Remember we start at 7:00 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. and please park in front of church. Sal,s Message

"This night was made for the Lord, let us rejoice, let us be glad." These words are from a song we sing in church, and tonight was made for the Lord. The gentle songs and praise brought us so close to Jesus tonight. The readings were: Luke Ch. 10-ver. 25-37----John Ch. 12. ver. 44-50---and Psalms 23. The teaching was first a little story, and then I read the song Amazing Grace and shared my walk with the Lord through this song. Maybe you can read the words and put your life in it. We felt the joy of The Lord in our hearts and His great peace. The next six weeks, the prayer meeting will be 7:00 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. because of Father Dan's scripture study. Also please park in the front for the next six weeks and enter through the door on the right and quietly pass Father Anderson library. This way if you stay later you will not be alone in the back. Please try to come on time so we can get the most out of our time with the Lord. Have a bless week . Sal

Sal's Message

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord for a great evening of prayer, praise and worship. Your Holy Spirit was so powerful in the chapel and the songs we sang and the love that went around the room was beautiful. The readings tonight and the songs all seem to fit together, The readings were : Matthew ch.5-ver 3-11----Psalm 36 and Psalm 150---. One of the many songs tonight was "Change My Heart O God." There was a word given also { I sense unrest in some of you, call on Me tonight and I will give you peace}. The teaching was a short story called The Brick. The point made was, "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!" Sometime when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not. We will meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m and I ask if you could bring your bible, and we will share different Bible verses that have touched us or are important for us to hear. Have a bless week and God Bless. Sal

Sal's Message

We were few in numbers, but strong in the Spirit. Last night we came looking for the Love of Jesus to touch us. Well, as we shared our feelings and allowed the Lord to speak to us while we sang and praised Him, He did just that. The Love of Jesus was spoken through the Bible verse from Matthew ch. 21 ver. 18-22-and - 1 Corinthian Ch. 12, ver. 1-11. We spent some time on this last Ver. in 1 Corinthian and I feel each of us should take time and read this. Our Lord showed us the different gifts of the Holy Spirit given to us. We should ask the Lord to guide us into what gifts he has for us. Many of us are already blessed with these gifts, but we need to pray and ask Him to open new doors and show us the way. Until next Monday I hope to see you all there. May the Lord bless each of you this week. Sal

Sal's Message

The power of prayer is so strong, and tonight we felt it as we prayed, praised, sang, and lifted Our Lord in Name and Praise. The songs without the gift of Mary Ann tonight went well. She was missed but the Lord is Good and He helped us with our voices. The readings were: Luke, 17-ver. 5-6----Psalms 70 ver. 1--6-----Proverb 8. The teaching was on The Great Exchange. If you read Isaiah 53-ver 4-5 you will understand. Then Debbie shared a short story called :The Wooden Bowl". It was powerful and left us with some open sharing, and she was asked to read it again in the future. We closed in God's laughter and prayer. Have a blessed week, Love in Christ, Sal

Tonight we shared on different bible verses that may have touched us and also what the meaning was for us on that verse. It was powerful. The sharing that went out to each of us was heart filling. A Message from Anne

At last night's prayer meeting we worshiped the Lord with song and prayers. We heard the words from Psalm 96 to "Sing to the Lord a new song: Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name." We also heard the Lord's words from Ephesians vs. 14-21. "For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and earth derives its name, that He would grant you according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, and that you being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God."

We lifted our needs, worries, and loved ones to the Lord trusting in His will and His mercy. We prayed asking God to bless, aid and heal all who were not with us last night and their families.

Manny who is a medical doctor gave a teaching on illness which is inevitable in our lives. We can use our illness for God's glory. Manny referred to paraticular saints and shared their attitude toward sickness. Illness can change us for the better when we are able to surrender to God. He also shared ways to help ourselves and the doctor when we are sick. His wife Evelyn, shared the story of her mother's healing from cancer after being told by her doctor that she had only 6 months to live. Her doctor had no explanation except maybe he made a misdiagnosis. Evelyn's mother had prayed unceasingly. Praise God!

Next Monday we will share how God has and is speaking to us through scripture.

What a great evening we had filled with sharing and song. Praising the

meeting and the reward that the Lord gave us was so great. The readings
were: Luke ch. 15-ver. 1--7---Luke ch.2--ver. 8---14----Matthew ch. 10
ver 34 thru ch. 11.----and Joel Ch. 2. The teaching was on Time. We
ask Jesus to help us to understand that nothing of this world is worth
our time if it does not include Him. We offer up praise and thanksgiving
for the gift of time. Next week Manny will be doing the teaching and
Anne will lead the prayer group. Please come and support them. We also
offer a special mention for Gloria Hanson. Keep her in your prayers.
Until next week, may the Lord keep each of you safe in His care. God

A Message from Anne

I've been thinking lately how important it is to read scripture and that lately I have not been as faithful as I should be even though I know that God has spoken to me so many times through scripture in both powerful and quiet subtle ways. I thought maybe it would help all of us if one prayer meeting a month we shared on scripture verses that really spoke to us. We could tell what God has shown us from the past and the present. It may be about help God has given us in a tough time or it may be an enlightening or sudden understanding about the greatness of God or whatever!

I mentioned this idea at the last prayer meeting and got a very positive response. I suggested doing this the first Monday of each month. However, I'll be on vacation that week so perhaps we could begin at the July 28th meeting.

Also, if someone would like to write about a meaningful scipture and post it on our blog that would be great. If someone doesn't want to post something themselves they could e-mail it to me and I would be happy to post it. God does great things and many times He uses scripture. Let's open our bibles and help the Holy Spirit give us treasures and words of wisdom.

God bless you all! Anne

With the love of Jesus we came together tonight with sharings, praise, song, and worship. Jesus was our focus, more so tonight in the teaching and in our prayers. "Boy", how we love our Lord. Lord open our hearts that we may love each other as You love us.} The teaching was on keeping our eyes on the Savior. Remember, if Jesus is who He is, there is no truth more worthy of your time, and no God more worthy of your devotion. Just a reminder, we will not meet next Monday because it is Memorial Day. We will be back the following week, June 2. Until then have a blessed and happy week. Love in Christ, Sal

Anne's Message

Last night, the day after Pentecost, we gathered again to pray. We worshiped the Lord in joy, and with song, aware that God has called us by name and is with us through His Spirit.

Thank you Geri for the very insightful teaching on the Prodigal Son. I especially liked the idea that the father did not just happen to see his son return that day. The father was watching in the distance every day waiting for his son.

Manny shared on Mary and mothers. This year it happened that Pentecost and Mother's Day fell on the same day and I just see now looking at my calendar that today is the Feast of Fatima. I shared the homily given by our deacon who mentioned all the concerns we have today and the manual he has found to be so helpful - holy scriptpure. He read a number of short passages from different sections of the bible which made me want to go home and read more and read every day. We thank you Lord for Your Words to us.

We prayed that Janice and Sal had a wonderful weekend trip and look forward to being together again with the Lord next Monday. God bless everyone. Anne

Sal's Message

Praise the Lord in all things! Tonight we gathered and asked the Lord to touch our hearts, and that's just what He sure did, first with Mary Ann's music and then with His love just flowing through each of us. Two words were given: { I will hold your hand this week and I will be with you.} and {My Children I am so pleased with each of you}. We had a reading from James ch.1 ver. 19-27-and Acts Ch. 19. ver.1-8. The teaching was on, Adoption of the Heart, and God's promise to us, from Romans Ch.5-ver. 8, "God showed his love for us in this way; Christ died for us while we were still sinners". God loves each of us and we are His Children. We have been adopted by God and are therefore an "heir of God through Christ". Until next monday, Janice and I will not be there but please come and support Anne, as she leads and Geri as she does the teaching next week. May the Lord Bless each of you. Love in Christ, Sal

Sal's Message

Each week as we gather is the same, yet different. What I mean is that we pray, sing, and praise the Lord, and even though we do this we come to feel the presence of our Lord with us. Yes, it's the same but we come alive and feel His love touch each of us. This reward is so great no one can take this from us. The reading tonight were: Psalms 62---and---Proverbs 1--11, Debbie gave a beautiful reading, and a word was given: { " If you believe and trust in Me, all things are possible"}. The teaching was on Devotion, and how strong is our Faith. We closed with joyful laughter and prayer. Until next week, may the Lord bless and keep each of you safe. Love IN Christ, Sal

Let us go and share this love with others as we have been told. Until next Monday, God Bless Sal

Sal's Message

What a powerful evening of sharing we had. Many went to the healing service Friday and the sharing was great. We sang three songs from a C.D. and enjoyed the music. We prayed and as we continued to pray the Lord touched each of us. The readings were: Psalms 34- ver. 1 thru. 11, and John Ch. 10, ver. 1--18. The teaching was on SIMPLICITY, and the question is Have we lost the real simplicity of a relationship with God through Jesus? Remember, Jesus does not force His way in. We have to invite Him into our hearts to be saved. I would like to know if anyone
would like to do a teaching next week or in the weeks ahead. Until then may the Lord keep each of you safe. Love in Christ, Sal

Sal's Message

When you are looking for some peace, try attending our prayer meeting. The Lord gives it to us free. All we have to do is get ourselves there. Last night was powerful because of our Brothers and Sisters who attended. The Lord gave us beautiful music from our gifted Mary Ann, and the readings and words given just added to the evening with our Lord. Jesus was so present to us and even if we had pain within we were at peace with the Lord. The readings were: Luke Ch. 4- ver. 4---and 1 Peter 1 ver. 3-9. Two words were given: ( " The Lord said to each one of us, "I Love you"--) and ("Place your pain at the foot of the cross then place your trust in me.") The teaching was on Job, "When faith really counts". Job placed his trust in God through all his trials. Let's take some time and read Job. If we can be as strong as him we can deal with anything, looking to our Lord for strength. Until next Monday, God Bless. Sal

Looking at Ourselves

Last night for the 4th year the prayer group met at my house to look at ourselves as a group to see how we are doing and decide what if any changes we should make. Are we on track doing what the Lord wants us to do? Sal, Janice, Bill, Gerri, Mary Ann, Lindy and I were present.

Prayer Meeting is at 7:30. If we begin prayer time by 7:40 which we often do, that is fine. We need a few minutes to visit. We average 10 people at our meeting now. So we are pleased with that.

Sal begins with a spontaneous opening prayer which we are happy with. It would be good if others would add to this yet we don't want to make this prayer too long. This opening prayer is followed by a short time of silence which we agreed was good. It helps to settle us.

When Mary Ann plays her guitar she chooses the music so she can achieve the proper flow. If someone would like a specific song played they can ask Mary Ann before the meeting if she would play it. When Mary Ann is not playing we have been using song sheets which have songs which are easy to sing. Then anyone can suggest a song. During this part of the prayer meeting we should be very focused on the Lord. This is when the spirit speaks to us. It's a time to avoid any chatter or distraction. We are as in the words of a song on HOLY GROUND.

During prayers of petition it is often difficult to hear what a person is saying. We agreed our job is to pray for these needs whether we hear everything or not. The person lifting up intentions should not use this time for a lot of detail.

Sal has taken on responsibility for teachings and we appreciate this. He has encouraged others to do teachings and most people have and we think that's great and should continue. Immediately following the teaching is a good time to share with everyone.

At the end of the meeting we lay hands on and pray for anyone who wishes to be prayed with

Sal mentioned ABC guidelines for a prayer meeting - Audible, Brief and Christ Centered.

We thank the Lord for His Blessings.

Anne

To all my Sisters and Brothers in Christ, We have received a special gift from our Lord, and that is the fellowship we have each week. The love of Jesus surrounded us tonight as it always does and you could feel His Peace touch you. The joy from Mary Ann's music filled the chapel and our prayers stormed the heavens. The reading were: Isaiah Ch.2, ver.2-5---Psalms 22---and Psalms 46. The teaching was on " What to do when you feel like giving up". In a word, God calls us to persevere. Take action in life. Don't wait for life to happen. Go out there and make things happen, even at our age. The Lord is good, so let us never fail Him. Let us be His Disciples. Until we meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel, have a blessed week, and don't forget Anne's meeting tomorrow night at her house to talk about our prayer group. GOD BLESS, Sal

Sal's Message

The Lord is Good. As we gathered tonight in His Blessed and Holy Name, Jesus showed His love for each of us in a gentle kind of way. You may have felt His presence, or heard a word from the readings given, or just relaxed in the Lord. Whatever way we knew He was there. The reading are: John 14ver. 1-14----Isaiah 42--ver. 1-9,----and Psalms 33. The teaching was given by Manny who spoke on the Holy Spirit. He shared that the Spirit is a person with us, and without Him we can do nothing. He made the Holy Spirit come alive for us tonight. His witness was beautiful. Thank you Manny you are blessed by our Lord. We will meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel and we will have our 4th annual meeting on Tuesday, March 11 at 7:15 p.m. at Anne's house. Please let Anne or myself know if you can attend. Thank You. Love in Christ, Sal

Sal's message

Tonight we gathered as always looking for the Love of Jesus in each of us, and if you were there you know we found it. The peace and love of our Lord was again a gift from Him. One of the songs we sang tonight was "You Are Near" and was He ever. His love quietly filled the chapel. The readings are: Matthew Ch. 7-ver. 7--12,------Psalms 16, and Proverbs Ch. 2. The teaching was on God's Promise In The Crown of Thorns, which was the fruit of sin, thorns, spiny, prickly, cutting thorns. These thorns pierced His heart through our sins. So take a good look at the cross and see how He died for you and the pain He felt. Look at the crown this week and say, ( HE DID IT FOR ME, JUST FOR ME). We will meet again next week at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel and we will be blessed to have Manny do the teaching so keep him in your prayers this week. Until next Monday, God Bless. Sal

Sal's message

Dear Sisters and Brothers, For many of you that could not make it tonight you all were missed. For all who attended tonight, we had our time with the Lord in song, praise, and sharing. The sharing was great and the deep prayer time was felt by all. The reading came from Psalm138---and a word was given, ( My Children place your faith and trust inMe for I will never leave you.) And tonight He stayed with us. While we prayed you really could feel the power of prayer being lifted up. A short story was read, and a teaching came out of it. It was sad and beautiful at the same time. It was about going out of your way to help someone, the little things not always the big things. We learned that people may not remember exactly what you did, or what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel! So every morning when you open your eyes tell yourself that it is special. Every day, everyminute, every breath truly is a gift from God! Until next monday at 7:00p.m. in the Chapel, may God bless and keep you all safe. Sal

Sal's Message

The night was cold, but we had eight loving sisters and brothers come out to the chapel which was warm and felt good, but what heated the chapel was the Love of Jesus, through our songs, prayers and praise. The gentle songs filled our hearts and the power of our prayers reached the heavens. We know that there is healing in the works as we prayed for all our sisters and brothers. The readings were, Psalm 28-----Psalm 34-----and John10-Ver. 1--18. I shared a short story about a boy who believed "God Lives Under The Bed." The boy was mentally disabled but lived a simple but faithful life. He loved God and kept him close, not only under the bed but in his heart. This we must also do, trust God and be child like, and maybe our faith will grow stronger. I ended with, ( FRIENDS ARE ANGELS WHO LIFT US TO OUR FEET WHEN OUR WINGS HAVE TROUBLE REMEMBERING HOW TOFLY.) Until next Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel. Have a blessed week.

Our prayer meeting began with the good news that Eleanor's son does not have macular degeneration as he had been told and his vision should improve. Eleanor had stood in the gap for him ( that is we laid hands on Eleanor as we prayed for her son) last week. Thank you Lord for answered prayers. Readings for the evening were Romans 8 vs 1-17 and Psalms 139. Gerri gave a teaching on the cross. She told how she was watching a tv show and heard an announcement for the following show about the cross. Her intent was to change the channel but before she knew she was looking at Jesus face on the cross. She told herself that it's just an actor playing the part but she was drawn in thinking about the human Jesus and how he must have felt in his humanness. She saw the love in His face. Jesus didn't give up on us. He died for us.

Next Moday we will meet at 7 pm because Fr. Dan will be using the church for teaching on the passion. See you then. Have a blessed week. Anne

Anne's Message

Sal and Janice are vacationing in sunny Florida. We missed them but hope they are relaxing and enjoying themselves. We gathered in the chapel bringing with us our aches and pains, sorrows and joys. We asked for the Lord's blessing and the power of the Holy Spirit upon us and we gave our hearts to the Lord in song and praise. Readings read througout the evening were: Isaiah 43: 1-5, 2 Samuel 22: 31-37, a reading from a prayer book belonging to Debbie which encouraged us to trust in God completely, 2 Cor 4: 1-12, and Psalm 41. Through prayers of petition we gave our needs and hopes for all to the Lord. Evelyn shared a powerful story tonight about a woman who trusted in God and prayed without stopping after she became ill and was given six months to live. She was a single mother and had two young children. She lived in the Phillipines and could not afford health care. This woman did live. She was Evelyn's mother. The Lord was telling us last night that we are not alone. Trust in Him and pray without ceasing.

Sal's Message

We gathered tonight in the Chapel, which was just a little cold, but the night warmed up some with the heat, but most with the Love of Jesus in each of us. The strong faith of His almighty love warmed our hearts and we praiseed, and sang and felt His love in each of us. The reading were: 1 John Ch. 3 ver.1-3, and Jeremiah Ch.31. A word was given at the beginning of our prayers, ( My Children never have any fear, and never have any doubt, for I have given you the gift of Faith). The teaching was on "God's Promise in The Garment." When we come to the cross dressed in sin, we leave the cross dressed in the "Coat of His strongLove". We ended with a prayer, ready for whatever He has for us this week. Janice and I will be away for the next two weeks. Please come and support Anne as she leads you and hear Evelyn next week as she does the teaching, and Geri the following week as she comes forward to do a teaching. Please pray for both of them. The prayer meeting will start at 7:30p.m. Janice and I will be praying for all of you and will miss being there. God Bless, Love in Christ. Sal

Though the weather tonight was bad, we had so many of our Sisters and Brothers attend our prayer meeting. The gift again of MaryAnn filled the chapel as we sang and felt the presence of Jesus. The reading were: 1John Ch.3-ver.1-3,---Psalm 46,----and Psalm 84. The teaching was on Praying with hope and open hands. We the Children of God need to support, protect, and hold one another to God's heart. And Lord, we believe that in every prayer you are calling us to a new life, and may we thank you for the many ways your Spirit has enriched our life. We will again meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m. I pray that you all have a blessed and safe week. God Bless Sal

Sal's message

It was great to see everyone who came to praise and worship the Lord tonight. Happy New Year, and that it was. The Lord blessed each of us tonight and anointed each of us as well. The presence of our Lord was felt. The readings were: 1 Peter.Ch.3----- Psalms- 149--Psalms34----and Psalms 25. The joy of the Lord filled the chapel and we sawJesus in each of us. The teaching was on how we see Jesus in our life and in other people, and that we are instruments of Christ. Once we tune into that love we will be gifted with all the fruits of the HolySpirit and we will know we have His Love. We will meet next Monday in the chapel to praise and worship our Lord. May God Bless each of you.
