Sal's Message October 24, 2011

We gathered together and shared with each other, and as we began to Pray we asked the Lord to come intoour hearts tonight and speak to each of us, and so He did. The words of Prophecy were: { Take This Time Tonight And Allow My Words To Speak To You. }---{ Walk With Me For I Am The Way }---{ My Hand Is On Your Shoulder}---{ We Trust In You Lord And Trust We Will Have.} The readings were Psalms 27--Mark Ch. 10-ver.45---Proverb Ch. 6-Ver.1-6. The teaching was on God's unconditional Love for us. He wants us to be totally free from fear. God moves on our behalf when we focus on Him instead of on our fears. We may feel fear at various times in our lives but we can choose to trust God. So listen to the Lord. He wants to speak to each of you. Seek Him, give Him your time and you will not be disappointed. So bring your fears to the Lord and place your trust in Him. After the teaching we shared and closed in deep prayer. Reminder THERE IS NO PRAYER MEETING NEXT WEEK OCT. 31, BUT WILL RETURN ON NOV. 7, AT 7: 30 P.M. TO PRAISE THE LORD. Until then have a safe and bless. two weeks. Sal

Sal's Message October 17, 2011

"The Spirit is a movin' all over, all over, this land", that is how the song goes, but it was movin' in the Chapel last night. As we began to pray there were many words of Prophecy. ( My Children Take Hold Of My Love For You And Share This With Others.)-- ( I Am Pleased That You Have Come Here To Pray Together. )--( Light The Light In You )--( You Are My Faithful Servants.). And the evening continued to fill our hearts with His love through song and praise. The readings were: James Ch. 5. ver. 7 and following.--Psalms 150--and--Psalms 92. The teaching was on Jesus. Jesus----The only answer bigger than the Questions. Jesus went to the cross to die for us. THAT'S HOW MUCH HE LOVE US. So whenever you feel tempted to ask God, "Why are you doing this to me? Look at the Cross and ask, "WHY DID YOU DO THAT FOR ME?" We shared on this and also the Wildwood Weekend that some of us attended. We closed in deep prayer and look forward to next Monday. The following Monday Oct. 31, WE WILL NOT HAVE A PRAYER MEETING. Until Next Monday God Bless and have a safe week. Sal

Sal's Message October 3, 2011

As we gathered with our Sisters and Brothers in Christ last night we shared and allowed ourselves to relax. When Prayer started we began to really relax in the Lord, and Geri and Sal received these words: " I offer the gift of myself to you tonight", My Children My love for you is as deep as the ocean and as wide as the sky, it is everlasting." "As I walk among you tonight share your gift with others." The readings were: Psalm 128--and--Matthew 17: ver. 5. The teaching was on Choosing Well. We must learn to overcome all of our bad choices by making right choices, one at a time. If you really want your life to change for the better, you will need to make one good choice after another, over a period of time. If you can read Deuteronomy 30:19, God tells us what our options are and then He tells us which to choose. We shared after the teaching which was powerful and end in Prayer. REMINDER NEXT MONDAY IS A HOLIDAY COLUMBUS DAY, WE WILL NOT, NOT, MEET UNTIL OCTOBER 17, UNTIL THEN, Have a Blessed Week, Sal

Sal's Message Sept 26, 2011

Tonight was a night filled with sharing. It is the last Monday of the month and it was a sharing evening. We started the night in sharing and laughter and as we began to pray we felt the Lord in our presence. A word was given {{ As I walk among you tonight I offer My Hands and My Heart to each of you, allow Me into your heart. }} The readings were: Philippians Ch 4. ver. 4 and continue to read, also Psalms 138. Make sure you reread these and allow the Holy Spirit into your heart. At the beginning right after we rec'd his word, the first song we sang was " Come into My Heart Lord." and " Open the eyes of my heart Lord". It seem like everything just went into place that the Lord had it all planned out. The sharing was good and the time ran late because of it, but we left with a stronger faith in our Lord and ourselves. Until next Monday Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m. have a great and bless week. Sal

Sal's Message Sept 19, 2011

It was so good to see so many of our Sisters and Brothers again. We welcomed back Geri. It was so good to see her healing slowly but looking so good. As we began to pray a word was given, {{ My Children, My Dear, Dear, Children, I Love You So Much And I Will Never Abandon You. }}--The readings were: Psalms Ch.18- ver. 46--Psalms Ch. 111--and--Ephesians Ch. 2. The teaching was on " Is Suffering Really Necessary To Build Character?" A question was given, What can we do to more fully embrace God's purposes in our suffering? 1. Look to God's promises for comfort. 2. Anticipate God's rewards. 3. Lighten the load throught prayer. 4. Share your life with others who suffer. Remember Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus'. Amen. We close in deep prayer and will meet next Monday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m. This is a night of Sharing because it is the last Monday of the Month. Please come and share your love of Jesus with us. Until then God Bless. Sal

We all came through the Hurricane except for some that have no electricity. Please pray that their power goes on soon. After this time it is important for us to settle down and feel God's presence. A word was given {{ My Children I Hold Each Of You In My Heart, And I Will Never Abandon You. }} The readings were: Samuel Ch.2 ver.29-37---Psalms 23---Psalms 27--and--1 Peter 1 ver. 3-9. The teaching was on " Can we really trust God to use our suffering for good." Romans 8 ver. 28 says, " And we know that for those who love God ALL THINGS work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose." After listening to the Lord's message, we must take each trial and apparent tragedy which taste bitter to us, and let God carefully measures out and mix all the good and bad together and in the end He will present to us a wonderful and perhaps unexpected goodness. We shared on this and closed in prayer. Please be aware that for the next TWO WEEK THERE WILL NOT BE A PRAYER MEETING, WILL NOT. This coming Monday is Labor Day, and the next week Sept. 12. I hope we can see more of our Sisters and Brothers together. Have a blessed week and stay safe. Sal

Sal's Message July 18

After being away for two weeks, one for the Holiday and other being sick, it felt good to gather in His Holy Name. We are so sorry that last week we missed our Brother Rich 1, who came to the prayer meeting but did not know we cancelled. I am so sorry we did not get in touch with you. Tonight the Joy of being together sharing our concern for each of our Sisters and Brothers showed how important this prayer group is. We need each other and we need to know that when we call on them they are always there in prayer and concern. A word was given, {Take This Time Tonight And Allow My Holy Spirit To Touch You.----The reading were: Psalms 25--and--Micah Ch.6-ver.6. The teaching was on Laughter - sharing the need to laugh and be lighthearted - to rejoice, to be joyful and to be glad. This truth should set you free to lighten up, enjoy being who God made you to be, and have a laugh at your own expense. Remember we need to have childlike hearts that laugh easily but we also need to have enough maturity to be lighthearted about ourselves. So My Sisters and Brothers, accept who you are; laugh at yourself; and enjoy your life today. We closed in prayer and will meet next Monday for a night of sharing it is the end of the Month already. Have a safe week and God Bless. Sal

Sal's Message July 27

Tonight was an evening of sharing. Many of our Sisters and Brothers could not attend. But for the seven of us that were there, we enjoyed the sharing, songs, readings, and the time of fellowships which was at the beginning and also at the end. As we prayed two words of Prophecy were received: ( I Am Your Almighty God And You Are My Faithful Children, With Whom I Am Well Please. )---also---( I Am Pleased That You Are With Me. ) This began an evening of Love. The readings were: Psalms 106--and--Luke ch. 4-ver. 14-18. We shared on gathering each week, and how sometime it is hard to get here on a Monday evening and that we should make more of an effort to attend once a week and also to invite a friend. It is important to come and Praise our Loving Lord, whatever night it is on. So we agreed to try and come each week. Next Monday is a Holiday 4th. Of July we will NOT MEET, but will return on July 11, 2011 - let us really try to keep this loving Prayer Group Strong and Flowing in God's Love. Have a Bless and Happy Holiday. Sal and Janice

What a wonderful evening we had with our Lord. Spending this short time each week with our Lord allows us to be filled with His love and helps us to grow deeper. A word of Prophecy was given,{{My Time Here With You Is Precious, Allow Me To Heal Your Broken Hearts.}}---also---[[ I Hear Your Call, I Hear Your Cry, Allow Me In. ]]--The readings were: 1 Peter 1 ver. 3-9--Isaiah Ch. 65--Psalms Ch. 8. We had a powerful prayer time which to me show the strength of this prayer group. May the Lord continue to bless us. Mary Ann again came with her guitar and filled the Chapel with her music. We closed in prayer and will meet next Monday. Janice and I will not be there, so Anne will be leading the prayer group. Please come and support her. Review of Prayer Group by Geri

On April 11th we met at Anne Kolshorn’s home to review our prayer group and discuss any changes that maybe needed. The meeting was attended by our host Anne K, Sal, Janice, Lindy, Phyllis, Eleanor, Pat, Mary Ann, Anne S, Bill and myself. The question was raised concerning the opening prayer. Sal stated it did not only have to come from him. If you hear the Lord speak to you share it with us. Sal hears the Lord and sometimes he questions it but he knows he must step out in faith. Sometimes it makes no sense to us but it might touch or speak to someone else. If it does touch you, after the prayer meeting, you could tell that person “that really hit home with me”. If you are given a word of knowledge or wisdom, share it with the group. It was agreed that Sal would continue with spontaneous opening prayer.

After opening prayer, we have our quiet time where we come and center ourselves. It is important to give the Lord the opportunity to speak with us. Please refrain from any chatter or noise as we concentrate on the Lord. If you have a song you might have heard during the week or is in your heart you can contact Maryann prior to the meeting so she can incorporate that song into our worship. Our songs start with a fast melody which energizes our praise, and we end our singing with slow melodies. Listen to the words for they are powerful.

When we do intercessory prayer, if you cannot hear just pray for those needs as our prayers go out to the Lord. Please try and keep it brief. Many people, if not all, have done a teaching. The Spirit has been working in us. Sal has accepted the responsibility for teachings but all are welcomed to share their faith with one another. Laying on of hands will not change. We are flexible and if you cannot stay for the entire meeting, we can adjust our meeting to meet your needs. Sal asked if anyone was interested again in doing the GOD BOX, which is sealed with our prayers and intentions. It is never opened and perhaps at sometime we could burn the box with our prayers in it.

We agreed that there would not be any email of our meeting sent out to those who have not attended for sometime, we would pray for them, and of course if requested a copy would be sent to them. Anne volunteered to send a copy of our weekly meeting to Phyllis and Pat who do not have email. The ABC guideline was mentioned which stands for audible-brief and Christ centered.
May the Lord continue to bless the Merciful Savior Pray Group.

Geri

Sal's Message April 19, 2011

" My Children I Hold Each Of You In My Heart, Remain Open And Allow Me To Heal You." This is what we heard as we began to pray. We also received a word from Ann K. "To Put All Our Concerns And Worries In His Hands. " Mary Ann blessed us with her music. We had a large gathering and we knew Jesus was with us. There was a reading from: Psalms 138 - which you should read again. Before the teaching Manny read a poem called "Desiderata" which was written in the 1920's. It was beautiful. If you want a copy let us know and we will print one up. The teaching was a story about a lady name Joanie, and the fears she had. When she was young, she had agoraphobia, the dread of open spaces. In time she turned to the Lord and through Reading, Praying, Trusting and Obeying, her fears were gone. In time God was strong in her life. Remember to be spiritual is to come to the place where there's nothing of us AND ALL IS OF GOD. We ended in prayer and shared for awhile. REMINDER NEXT MONDAY WE WILL NOT MEET, BUT RETURN ON MAY 2. May the Lord bless you and yours and have a safe and Bless Easter. Happy Easter love in Christ, Sal and Janice.

Sal's Message March 21, 2011

The Holy Spirit was with us tonight as we prayed and asked the Lord to come into our hearts. With the love of Jesus in the Chapel and the gift of Mary Ann playing her guitar and filling the chapel with God's music, we received a word of Prophecy- {{ My Children listen to My Words of Wisdom which you will hear through My Songs. }}-The readings were: Luke Ch. 18-ver. 15-17-Deuteronomy Ch. 30--Proverbs Ch. 2-ver.1--and Isaiah Ch. 40-ver. 31. Another word was given {{ You Are My Children, and I Am With You }}. The teaching was on Satan's subtle reasoning, how we can be selfish, but God calls us to put the good of others ahead of our selfish desire. So help us to see through Satan's twisted logic and agree to follow the Lord always. We shared and closed in joyful prayers. Next Monday March 28, is the end of the Month so it will be a night of sharing from our Bibles and or sharing what is on our hearts. Until then, keep Jesus close to you always. Sal

Sal's Message March 14, 2011

As Janice and I entered the Chapel we saw that something was going on in the Church with Father Dan, so I closed the doors and we sat quietly while everyone entered. We realized that we had to keep silence for awhile. So we started with quiet prayer and then prayed for our friends and family. By the time we finished they had left the church, and we began to sing and praise our Lord. There were many here tonight. A word was received early and shared { My Children Take Hold Of What I Have For You Tonight. Be Prepared To Use Your Gifts and Share Them With Others}. We had readings from: 1 John Ch. 3--and--Psalms 83. The teaching was on Enjoy Your Everyday Life. You have to be happy with the life that God has given you. He has a reason. Everything about you is by His design. So Embrace your life because God is never going to give you someone else's! We then shared on the gifts we have been given. We ended in prayer and will meet next Monday March 21, may God Bless you and yours. Sal

Sal's Message February 7, 2011

The Chapel was filled tonight with many of our Prayer Family. It was so good to see everyone. We sang songs from the Red Books and after opening prayer we began to feel the presence of Our Lord. The short time we have with the Lord each week helps each of us to grow stronger in the Lord. The singing, praising and praying brings it all together. Then there is the fellowship we have before, during and after. All this is mixed together and we get to see God's love working. A word of Prophecy was given, {{ In This Holy Place Tonight You Shall Find Peace, Trust In Me.}}The readings were: Psalms Ch. 2--Psalms 150--and--Psalms 89. Sal's Message Jan 31, 2011

It has been two weeks since we gathered to Praise the Lord and as we began singing the Joy Of The Lord took over. We sang and laughed and felt the Lord touching our hearts. A word of Prophecy was given, {{ My Children Tonight I Will Share A Word With You. Take That Word And Use It This Week. }}--The readings were: Jeremiah Ch. 31--Psalms Ch 34- ver. 1-13.--and--Philippians Ch. 4-ver. 4-9. Another word was rec'd, {{ I Hear Your Cry My Child Leave Your Pain At The Foot Of My Cross. }}. The teaching was on forgiveness and Gratitude or Grumbling. We have to make choices in our life. Grumbling overlooks blessings, but Gratitude finds blessings everywhere. So ask God for His forgiveness, and with a little practice, anyone can master the art of Thankfulness, and also have Gratitude. We closed with a stronger love for Our Lord and will gather next Monday. Have a bless and safe week. Love In Christ. Sal

Sal's Message Jan10, 2011

We gathered tonight to Praise and Worship our Lord, and as we began with our hearts a little heavy, each one carrying some personal need, we heard the Lord speak. " My Children Take The Time Tonight To Remove The Heavy Chains That Are Weighting You Down, For I Have The Key To Your Heart." The readings were: Psalms 46. ver. 10---Hebrews Ch.4-ver.14---and---Psalms-90--&--119. The teaching was on being humble - not allowing pride to step in, asking our Lord to humble ourselves and trust in Him that our prays will be answered. We must be still and know that He is God. It means to stop trying to make things happen yourself and to allow the Lord to show you what you need to do to cooperate with His plan and purpose for you. So we must place our trust in Him. We closeed in prayer and felt God's Love. REMINDER WE WILL NOT MEET NEXT MONDAY, IT IS MARTIN LUTHER KINGS BIRTHDAY. WE WILL GATHER AGAIN ON JAN. 24. Please stay well and have a blessed few weeks. Love in Christ. Sal
